My wife had the interview at 10am and arrived at 9am. She was out by 9:30am from the embassy, asked a few questions. An American lady interviewed her, who was very polite and helpful. There was a part of the DS-230 in which was filled incorrectly, she just made her re-do it and signed part 2 in front of her. She was asked the following. How did you both meet? Do you have any pets, What date did you get married, Why didn't you see each other during the 1.7 year period. They asked her for a recent police report, which she had printed out 7 days prior. After the questions, the IO said everything is in order but one thing. I gave my wife a copy of my 2012 taxes just in case, but with no W-2's. I thought they would have used the 2011 transcript since tax deadline is April 15 2013. That wasn't the case, she just instructed her to have me send her an email to the embassy ASAP with the W-2's to verify the information on the turbox tax print outs to make sure it was I that made that amount. We arrived at 7 AM for a 7:30 appointment and stood in line 3 (which was only a "line" because of one person ahead of us). The other lines were quite long.
We passed through security and were told inside how to arrange our paperwork and then the lady would come tell us where to go. Once everything was arranged, we waited in the sitting area near the Iguana Cafe, a little kiosk selling drinks and pastries. There is also a Crepes and Waffles stand there.
A few minutes later, the lady told us to go stand at the yellow line at window 5. When the people in front of us were done, the woman at Window 5 called us forward. She asked for the documents and medical exam results, which we passed through the window. After a quick revision of everything, she organized the papers for signature, and passed them back to my fiance who signed them and returned them.
Very little questioning going on other than "Your name?"
