My wife had the interview at 10am and arrived at 9am. She was out by 9:30am from the embassy, asked a few questions. An American lady interviewed her, who was very polite and helpful. There was a part of the DS-230 in which was filled incorrectly, she just made her re-do it and signed part 2 in front of her. She was asked the following. How did you both meet? Do you have any pets, What date did you get married, Why didn't you see each other during the 1.7 year period. They asked her for a recent police report, which she had printed out 7 days prior. After the questions, the IO said everything is in order but one thing. I gave my wife a copy of my 2012 taxes just in case, but with no W-2's. I thought they would have used the 2011 transcript since tax deadline is April 15 2013. That wasn't the case, she just instructed her to have me send her an email to the embassy ASAP with the W-2's to verify the information on the turbox tax print outs to make sure it was I that made that amount. Overall, she thought it was a pleasent experience and not difficult. My wife said it was more of a conversation than an interview. They didnt' request any type of evidence, nor look at the picture album. There was another IO who was there that smiled and was very down to earth and friendly as well. She said there was a lot of people interviewing for tourist visas, and one person for fiance. It was very helpful doing mock interviews 3 weeks prior to the real thing, just asking questions that are from the forms processed with USCIS and NVC.
