Everything was really great. I was a little nervous, but everyone was very nice. there were just 2 additional families there. The whole process took between 1.30-2 hours.
They take you to the first window and the lady asks you some questions and fills information in the computer, and then you wait for another 30 minutes and the consular officer calls you to take your fingerprints and then you are good to go!

The staff was very nice and the consular officer is really nice and friendly.

Great consulate

My fiancé had a great experience here at the embassy in Santiago, Chile. They called him up to the window when they let him in and asked for the paperwork. He handed the paperwork that the girl asked for over to her, he actually gave her pretty much all of the paperwork that we had worked on including the I129F copy and everything even though she said it was not necessary because they already had a copy. She asked him a few questions and then asked him to sit down and he waited for about 10 - 15 minutes and they called him up for the question part of the interview. The officer asked him two questions and then let him know that he was going to approve his visa.

He said that he had a great experience at the embassy, everyone was very nice, polite, and timely.

My fiancée had a very positive experience here. We had prepared a binder full of evidence and none of it was necessary. They went over her paperwork and asked a few simple questions and everyone there was kind. There were only two other people in line other than her so the process was quick. The only problem was that the fingerprints weren't working so they asked her if she can come back in a few days to complete that. She asked them if that meant she was approved and they said YES! We are a same-sex couple and ran into no issues regarding that. Also, my fiancée spoke English in her interview and I think that helped her because she said that the officer looked happy to be speaking English and they we're joking a bit about American stuff :D Overall, great experience & great embassy!

My fiance said that the embassy treated her very well. She was called to the window and gave a lady her papers, it took her about 10-15 minutes as the lady asked her questions. She then had to wait about an hour before her name was called again for her actual interview. The individual that interviewed her looked at some of the facebook messages between her and I, looked at the photos and then asked her a few questions about our relationship. She said she was in the interview for exactly 15 minutes. They then told her everything looked good and they would contact her by email in a few days with an answer. I hope she gets approved. The only thing I did not like about the embassy is that her paperwork they sent got "lost" in the mail. After that, they would not send new papers or sent them digitally through email. Then, we had to get an extension to find time for her to fly up to Santiago. However, they eventually worked with us and gave her a new interview date so she could come get her p... read complete review
