As mentioned in the other reviews, you should reach the embassy 5 minutes before the appointment time.
Once we entered the visa section (after our security check, etc), we were first called for a pre-interview (administrative) where the woman asked basic questions regarding the application, our address in the US (we gave a friend's since my husband and I both live in Chile). She seemed professional, however, what made me a little nervous was that she didn't smile at all and just went through the NVC file that was at the desk. Since, we expedited our request, she asked me to submit the i-864 form and my husband's income tax returns and checked that his income was above the poverty level. She said everything seemed to be in order and explained the process for following up on my passport with the visa.

After this we were called to another window where the consular officer interviewed us. Something went wrong with the systems but he started asking questions about how we met and where my husband was at the moment. Since my husband was right there, he called him to join and it was really like meeting someone new and having chat. They could see that I had taken all our documents and everything in an organized folder but they didn't ask for anything.

The consular asked me if I was going to work in the US, to which I said yes I would try to transfer to an office within my current firm in Chile. And that was it. He said that the visa has been approved and there are no issues and I should receive my packet for the POE in 10 business days.

Overall, I think the consulate staff is really friendly and courteous and the process seemed really really easy.
