We left the hotel around 6:10 got to the consulate at 6:20 ish. A few ppl showed up shortly thereafter. One of the vjers we met was stef loves bran. Was a wee bit cold -10. The hotel was soo close like not even 5 mins to walk.
They opened the doors around 7:30ish, i had no watch or anyway to tell the time until we got upstairs. Someone didn't put the letters back so they had to hand scribble the letters on pieces of scrap paper..lol. I joked about how it looked like a Monday and the guards kinda laughed and joked back. They were nice and friendly. Went through security then downstairs to the elevator.
Guard came shortly after to take a-e up. Once upstairs we were told to sit on one side of the room. I figured at least 3 ppl in that elevator were vj'ers..as we were the only ones facing the right way LOL. It was 8am at this point. My husband was first in line at 6:30am but he decided to have a smoke. When I joined him at 7am with our son we were behind a lovely couple. It was cold and a windy. At 7:30am the guards took pity on us and let us in first.
Security wasn't a problem, even when my husband forgot he had his blue tooth ear bud on him. He just left it up front and we got it on the way out.
We went down some stairs and waited near an elevator. Then up to the 19th floor to wait more.
My husband went to the window alone so I don't know what all was asked. He came back and said he was finger-printable. I guess that's good. Then more waiting and he was called to a room. I tried to go with him but was told to wait. In a bit my husband returned to take over holding and entertaining our son. He was such a good baby for us.

Hey everyone! Currently at the Eaton Mall, leeching their internet. :D
My mother inlaw and I woke up about 5am. We stayed at the Delta Montreal, which was only a block or so from the Medisys Medical Clinic. At 6:45am, my MIL headed off the consulate while I headed to the Medisys building. I picked up my results without any problems, which was a big relief. They proceeded then to tell me that if there were any problems, they would have given me a call right away. (I didn't write a medical review since mine LITTERALLY mirrored La Souris's review. However, I forgot to mention that they are not testing for HIV anymore, but Syphilis)
So after picking up my results, I headed to the consulate. There were already 3 groups of people waiting. I met jmd77 and her fiance, another couple going for an IR-1 visa, and of course my MIL. We had our interview today and wanted to share our experience as we have monitored all of the reviews for sometime on VJ and found it to be very helpful. So we just want to thank those who updated this information and hope this helps some other people who will be having interviews in the future.
First of all, it was very cold (-9C) this morning and we decided to try to be there around 7am and not try to be letter A. We arrived around 7:10am and were fourth in line. Since they take A-E up the elevator in one group, this really is okay. They do go in the left door for the screening, so that was helpful to know when you line up. BTW, around 7:30ish there must have been about 25 people in the line. After clearing security when we were allowed to go inside, we were taken to the 19th floor as a group with A-E(we were E). We showed up at 1pm (both benefactor and fiancee) and after the usual security checks, we were shown up to the 20th floor, where we checked in with our paperwork which took about 10 minutes. There was a 40 minute wait before my fiancee was asked for her fingerprints and then another 20 minute wait until we were "interviewed". It was rather anti-climactic (not that I was complaining), as it was all done at a counter. The lady was very pleasant and having looked through our paperwork, she first asked her to swear an oath stating that everything that she had submitted as true and then asked 4-5 easy questions:
1. How did you meet ?
2. How/where did you meet your fiancee ?
3. How much does the benefactor earn (she asked this to me) ?
4. When did you get engaged ?
5. When are you getting married ?
6. Can I see evidence of relationship ? We showed her the photos that we had taken over the past 2 years
