My interview was on November 16th, 2010 at 11am.

I got there around 10:15, entered the building, went through security (it's pretty much the same security type than at any airport) and took the elevator up to the 19th floor. If you have a cell phone, it will be taken away from you and given back to you when everything will be over. Same for food (unless you are diabetic I think) and probably for beverages too. There are vending machines in the waiting room (chocolate bars, chips, cookies, coffee, soft drinks and water).

There you will receive a number and you wait until they call it (they called mine about 30 minutes later). You go to a window and handle the documents that are asked by the officer who is behind a glass. After checking the documents, the officer sent me to the cashier pay my visa ($350, cash only) and I came back right away for finger prints. I sat back in the waiting section, waiting for my interview, this is then the last part of the p... read complete review

A SPECIAL THANKS TO TRAILMIX FOR ALL HER SUPPORT, ADVICE AND SUGGESTIONS~PROVING DOMICLE HAS TRULY PUT OUR LIFE ON PATH WITH A FUTURE IN THE USA...I DIDN'T NEED A SPONSOR AS I WAS ABLE TO SECURE EMPLOYMENT IN MY CAREER OF CHOICE. IF YOU WOULDN'T OF TAKEN THE TIME OUT OF YOUR BUSY DAY TO BE A SUPPORT, I TRULY COULD HAVE MISSED ALL THESE MOMENTS THAT HAVE FALLEN INTO PLACE AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME...THANK YOU TRAILMIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE A BLESSING TO THIS SITE AND TO ME AND TO MY FAMILY!!!!!

We arrived at 7am, at the infamous line where many have stood shoulder to shoulder before us and many will stand again. We were the 2nd in line, behind a family of four. My Dear Husband took the initiative to remain in the line, so that I could fetch us 2 double doubles from Canada's favorite coffee hub; Timmies. As I returned he was speaking to a couple, who later realized were sitting next to each other for the physical earlier this week, in Toronto. The couple als... read complete review

Hi...

My interview was on Tuesday, Nov. 9th and my medical was the next day. This was not a problem, just meant a trip back to the consulate to drop things off.

I found both the interview and the medical to be a lot more of the "hurry up and wait" that we have all come to love so much!

For me the most stressful part was simply getting all my documents out and praying I had everything as they wanted. I was missing and ORIGINAL of my Divorce certificate which had me really ticked with myself but was an easy enough fix as I simply ordered another copy for $20. It did mean that I won't get my visa for another week but no extra trip or interview or "review process."

The interview itself was good. The interviewer was very pleasant, even a little chatty so I felt at ease.

I am so relieved it is over. On to planning for the next immigration hurdle.

If you are needing a place to stay, I would recommend s... read complete review

i arrived at 7am, the door was opened at 7:40am or so. I sat down on the waiting room for 10 mins and my name was called. I went to the first window and the lady asked me for all my documents, she told me to go and sit down and if she needed me she was gonna call me back; 2 mins after she called me back and took my fingerprints. After 5-10mins my name was called in another room, this was the actual interview. The interview was 5 minutes and it was really easy. Don't be nervous the interview is short and easy. I was out of the consulate at 8:40am or so.
