Almost painless process!
I worked myself into a little ball of stress the day before -not at all helped by my flight being cancelled! My appointment was at 8, I got there at 7.40, there was already 20-30 people waiting. Went through 'airport security' they even made me leave my sunglasses at reception! Then they organised all my papers into a folder and sent me upstairs. It was a 10 minute wait to get called up - a nice lady just asked some questions about my fiance's address, phone number and minor organisational questions - no troubles. Then I sat down for 20 more minutes before getting called up for the proper interview - shaking like a leaf by this point, super nervous, wobbly voice, the whole lot ...But it was cruisy! A very friendly young man questioned me for all of 5 minutes (no joke) - where did we meet, how did the relationship progress, who was our cosigner - that was it! He stared intently into my eyes the whole time but despite that it was very relaxed. I t... read complete review

I had all my docs prepared apart from my medical (which was to be done the day after).
I hovered around the lifts from 7am and was last in the door of be lift, so first out. Second in line altogether. A fairly fast screening process. I am a diabetic and wear an insulin pump and they said I should be carrying a doctor letter whenever I go? No! But of course I was allowed in.
After security and document checking, sent to L59 in the fastest lift I've ever been in.
Another check behind the main door (warning: it's heavy!) and straight in. Got my number. 002!
Called up, had documents checked, asked about my medical and that was OK. Told to sit down after giving prints.
About 10 mins later called for my interview. Here goes! I had a lovely young bloke, probably early 30s. We smiled and had a bit of chit chat as his computer was loading.
He swing Into the questions:
"How did you meet?"

Took around 5 minutes, and verbally approved on the spot. The lady was lovely. Excellent process.

Fairly straight forward. Other reviews go into enough finer detail regarding getting there and the process, etc. I didn't wait too long. Interview was quick. The CO wasn't too invasive and was very friendly, so I had no issues with the actual interview. The only problem was that my CO got confused about the tax documentation requirements. She ended up asking her supervisor and then he confirmed that a document was missing, even though the document was never requested and wasn't technically required. It was very disappointing not being approved on the spot, and my case was put into administrative processing for over a week due to what seemed like their human error. It wasn't a problem in the end but it did slow everything down.
Communication after the interview is virtually non-existent. Eventually I got an email from the consulate with approval notice.

As others have observed, level 10 is accessed via the lobby on level 8.
Lifts(elevators) don't open until 0730.
They started putting people through security about 0800.
I got my ticket upstairs at 0814 (time is printed on the ticket).
Everyone I dealt with was polite, efficient and tolerant of me being nervous.
All paperwork was in order (assuming this is due to the Lawyer we had in the States being good at what she does).
Passport and envelope taken when I was called up to the first window, fingerprints taken.
Called to the second window for the interview, asked how we met, how the relationship developed, what my wives name is, how did I propose, when and where were we married, what is her occupation.
I think there was a couple of other questions, can't remember them all.
Visa approved (didn't get a slip of paper as other people have mentioned, just ve... read complete review
