We had our aos interview at west palm bea h on the morning of July 21, 2015. I arrived in the USA in March of 2013 on a visitors visa. I met my husband in April of the same year and got married in 2014.
Our journey began when we filed for permanent residence in March 2015. Everything went by pretty smooth. We had no rfes.
We arrived for the interview @ 11:45 since we had a 12:15 appointment. Afte clearing security, our lawyer met us in the waiting area. He joined the line, got our number and we waited. This time it was way past 12:15. At about 12:40 we were called in by a very quite and mature Caucasian woman. She was very polite.
She proceeded to swear us in. Then we were asked to take a seat. She wanted all three of us to sit together, me hubby and lawyer. My daughter who is 9 and part of the petition was given paper and pen to draw with.
Our lawyer gave her a big file with our documents. She then asked for identification. I gave her all passports. ... read complete review

I had a biometrics appointment for 12pm. We got there about 20 mins earlier, there wasn't anybody so I didn't have to wait for anything. Just filled a form and went to the lady that takes fingerprints and a photo. Probably the whole thing took about 5 minutes :P
The office seemed nice and clean, people were friendly

Our joint interview was very easy. We arrived at the office about 30 minutes early for our 9:00 appointment, registered then sat and waited. And waited. Finally about 30 minutes after our appointment time we were both called into a back office where we were asked about how we met, fell in love and then decided to marry, etc.
We had taken with us mounds of photos and some other documents, including a copy of our joint bank account, our rental agreement and letters from several friends that had attended our wedding in Chengdu. The officer looked through our photos and selected about 10 of the couple hundred we took. She kept them and the letters and statements, then congratulated us and told us we had been approved.
The whole process was easy without any additional stress.

We walked into interview totally expecting to being sent packing due to insufficient Bonafides. I couldn't get my wife's SS number until 5 days before interview which effected our ability to get her on my bank Account and Work sponsored Family Health Ins.
Having said that, the case officer was very friendly, professional, thorough, logical and sensitive. She asked many vital questions to substantiate our relationship through comfortable normal conversation. She did not ask for one item I spend 10 hours gathering and organizing the day before because she got all her answers verbally. She did ask for some original items, like birth and marriage certificates. I'm sure the interview was longer than most because I told her up front I didn't have state identification, company sponsored family health insurance yet. I did have my wife's name on Bank Account but she never asked for proof. All in all very, very smooth experience.
