We got very lucky to get approved just two months after filing the I-485! The Tampa USCIS office is on top of things. Had a 7 am appointment time (which is when the office opens). About 50 people were outside the office at that time. After going through security and checking in, we sat in the big waiting area until our case was called, probably about 20 minutes. Don't recall what time we were called, but I'd estimate we were with the interviewer about 20-25 minutes for everything; we were in the parking lot heading back to the car by 8:15 am. As we were adjusting both a K-1 and K-2 visa, it was probably a little longer for the interview than usual.
Interviewer was very courteous and professional.

OK INTERVIEW OVER - RESULT - RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL! 4* Due to excessive waiting past appointment time. Otherwise everything else 5*
Tampa office was really busy. I got there 30 minutes before my appointment time, got my number and quickly found out that regardless of number or appointment time, they go in no particular order. The two different ladies I set next to in the waiting room had been there for over an hour past their appointment time. They were calling out numbers in the 40's when I arrived (mine was 75). One lady had something like 59, but my number was called before hers!Â
As for the interview, my officer seemed one of the happier ones. I cracked a few nervous jokes with him and made small talk, which he was fine with. He was an immigrant from Poland, so that was cool to relate to him a little bit about the journey. He started with a few basic questions about me, my wife and how I started on the immigrant journey. He also asked her full na... read complete review

November 1, 2018 - AOS Interview (Family Status - from K1 Visa)
Interview at Tampa FL USCIS Office. Met with a lovely immigration officer (Riki) who went through the I-485 and verified all the information that I had provided in the form.
Asked for my name and former names, my DOB, husbands name and his DOB, my parents names, current address, how long we have lived there for, date we were married and then we went through each of the immigration/criminal/terrorism questions which you have to answer verbally yes/no to. We were then invited to provide any supporting documentation to verify our relationship. We provided gym membership, health insurance, joint credit cards, car insurance, joint bank statements, birthday cards, photos from the wedding, copies of our wedding vows and facebook msgs and emails. She then invited us to tell her about us and our story which we didn't mind retelling as we love to tell our little 'fairytale' ... read complete review

Yestarday me and my husband had the Adjustment of Status Interview. The lady was really nice. She asked the usual questions about us and our family. Pretty much just our biographic informations. We gave her our bank statement, the last tax returns, W2 and my husband's employment letter. We showed her our photo album with all of our pictures (she was focus on the wedding pictures and she kept a few). We had lots of proves but she didn't ask anything else. We got approved on the spot! it was so easy!
Good luck!!!

What a wonderful experience! Not at all what we were expecting.
The office and staff are kind, the building nice and the wait was not lengthy.
Husband and I arrived 10mins before scheduled interview time cause we were caught in traffic.
Waited 20mins, got called up than immediately the woman officer said wait, hold on, could you please sit back down and wait. We said okay not having any clue what was going on. She went back behind the closed door.
Not sure if something was wrong I began to little nervous. After two mins she came back said sorry then called us back in.
A very pleasant woman, she first had us raise right hands and swear under oath the truthfulness of our application and answers.
We brought along with us huge amounts of materials... 350pics, receipts binder including trips to NASA, Maine, Statue of Liberty, 4 Dinner Shows, fun spot, old Town, Disney etc etc. Brought an evidence f... read complete review
