What a wonderful experience! Not at all what we were expecting.

The office and staff are kind, the building nice and the wait was not lengthy.

Husband and I arrived 10mins before scheduled interview time cause we were caught in traffic.

Waited 20mins, got called up than immediately the woman officer said wait, hold on, could you please sit back down and wait. We said okay not having any clue what was going on. She went back behind the closed door.

Not sure if something was wrong I began to little nervous. After two mins she came back said sorry then called us back in.

A very pleasant woman, she first had us raise right hands and swear under oath the truthfulness of our application and answers.

We brought along with us huge amounts of materials... 350pics, receipts binder including trips to NASA, Maine, Statue of Liberty, 4 Dinner Shows, fun spot, old Town, Disney etc etc. Brought an evidence file showing joint assets/liabilities (at least 8) plus a folder showing accounts associated with the joint business we started and more.

We did NOT get approved today because the immigration officer said somehow our I-130 hasn't processed in Nevada but that she will request about that.

She asked a few basic questions, the yes or no one's of course then asked husband when we got married. She asked me where we met? And being a nervous since she asked me the first question, I only responded with the town where we met. Then I felt like a total idiot for not elaborating more about the details.

She copied our birth certificates, our old divorce decrees from prior marriages and asked if there was anything else we felt she should know about.

I didn't know what to say so I said, umm would you like to see some of our pictures? She said sure and looked over the album. She pointed to one pic and said, oh is that your son? My husband said yes. She asked him what ages the kids were (from my previous marriage) and he said their ages to her.

Then I showed her the next file of our vacation receipts and then a third file of our business details.

She said okay that will be all and said she couldn't give a decision today but if they needed further information, they would let us know, that she would then petition for the I-130 status then she took our phone numbers.

I looked at her and said oh okay, thank you ma'am. Then I s asked are you sure, is that all? You sure you don't want or need anything more? She said no.

Other than that, she was very nice and let us out happily as she did on our way in.

A great experience even though we still don't know the outcome of our interview.

Any nervousness going into the building was quickly removed with the calm kind atmosphere everyone provided.
