Very professional. No problems with getting in and wait time was minimal. Cell phones are allowed but I left mine in the car. We had an interpreter. I highly suggest if someone does not speak English well they bring a qualified interpreter. The interviewer was knowledgeable, skilled and thorough. He was patient when my wife taking a long time to answer the question. His questions keyed in on areas I suspected he would due to questions asked at the consulate interview and POE but other than that they were expected for this kind of interview. I think we will be OK. Make sure to bring as much proof of relationship as you possibly can.

We are adjusting my status from K1 Fiance Visa to Permanent Resident. Although in some case, if you are from K1 Visa you will got approved or received residency card without interview.
Anyway, our interview was scheduled May 19, 2016 at 8:55am in San Jose Office. We arrived at the office at 8:30am and they let us in. At the reception, they asked for my appointment letter and original passport. After that, we proceed to Security Detector Machine and then advised us to fall in line where there was a sign says for Interview. The woman asked again for my appointment letter and original passport then, stamped my interview letter and advised us to go to the room on the left for my name to be called.
After waiting for about 15 minutes, a Chinese guy officer called my name. Together with my husband we went to his office. Before the interview started, we raised our right hand to make an oath that we will say the truth. Then, our interview started.

I had my AOS from a K1 visa interview yesterday at the San Jose office.
My husband and I arrived at 9am for our 9:35am appointment. At the front desk we showed our ID (both California drivers licences) and my appointment letter. We were directed to security (just like at the airport, take off shoes, put stuff in a bin to be xrayed and walk through metal detector), told to got to the next desk (where interviews and infopass people wait) Presented our Id's and interview letter again, then told to go to the waiting room to the right of the entrance and that my name would be called.
The people coming out and calling names come from a door on the far right corner when you enter the room, so I suggest sitting over there so you can here your name because not all officers say the names loudly. Waited until around 9:45-10am before my name was called. The officer introduced herself and walked us down a maze of corrodors to her office. She told us to remain sta... read complete review
