Just had our interview in the San Francisco office. It went pretty well, the officer was very professional and all business. It lasted about 20mins, she checked and updated our info on the application, went through the questions on the form, and then asked us if we had anything to add to the case ( I had a few more items like bank statements and joint health insurance). Had a few more questions regarding how we met, why did we decide to get married, if we knew each others family etc.. She didn't give any indications of whether she was satisfied with the answers we gave her but oh well.
Then she made copies of everything, said all that was left to do was a background check. She said she wouldn't have time to get back to our case today but to check again in the next few days. She gave us "your case is being held for review" form and said that when we get the green card it would be good for two years then we would need to remove conditions etc.
She never s... read complete review

It was a very thorough interview (1 hour) and i'm glad we were so well prepared. We believe she was a manager because other officers were coming into her office asking her to sign and approve paperwork. After the interview, she said goodbye and she did not give anything away. A few hours later our case status was updated on the USCIS website to approved and card ordered.
Questions asked:
-When and where did you meet?
-Can you describe this first meeting?
-How did you make the relationship work since it was long distance?
-How many times did you meet before getting engaged?
-How many times have you been married?
-When and where did you get engaged?
-Who proposed to who?
-When and where did you get married?
-Did you meet each others families? If so, where and do you have any photos?
-How much money did you bring into the USA (petitioner)?
-What do your parents think about you moving to the USA? ... read complete review

Interview went well. Adjudicator asked petitioner 3 questions: 1) Where did we meet, 2) Did she meet my parents and how many times, and 3) Do we have any prior marriages. She had some issue with our marriage certificate as it didnt state that it was on file with the registrar of deeds, but I had a certified copy from that same registrar that had a raised seal and statement saying it was filed for record. She said she had to review it and run some background checks. I received a notification that the card was approved the next morning.

It took us around 15 minutes to wait in line outside the CIS office. The walk through security was similar to an international airport. We were directed to go upstairs to the second floor and shuffled in at about 8:10, about 25 minutes early. We were surprised that some of the other applicants dressed rather casually. We were both dressed formally just short of a tie but still with the shiny shoes. We were told to wait for the letter F door to call us in. We huddled together like two small children wet in the rain. We were stressed! The previous applicants from F came out worried, holding a paper that signifies that their case was to be reviewed (or worse). The attorney that came with them I guess wasn't that helpful. We waited another 15 minutes and our IO came out and politely ushered us in. We sat together but were separated and something between us made it hard to see the other. I think this was to prevent us from signaling to each other through body language. She had clearly looke... read complete review
