I just wanted to share my naturalization interview experience hoping it can help others, just as previous postings provided guidance thru our journey.
Today, 21 October 2011, I had my naturalization interview at USCIS-SFO. BTW, I got my greencard thru marriage to my husband. My route started with K1 -> Conditional GC -> AOS -> Naturalization.
My interview was scheduled at 1:45PM. We came in at 1:15PM and got called for the actual interview at 1:43PM.
The IO was so nice. As soon as we got into her office, she told me to relax.
1. After she sworn me in, she asked for my greencard, California issued ID (I gave both my driver's license and State ID), and all my passports including those expired ones.
2. She went over my application form and basically asked me all the questions in the form.
3. Since I got my GC thru marriage to my husband, she asked for documents to show that we are still married a... read complete review

Generally smooth interview. She had some questions regarding the 'timeline' of the birth of my second child and when Bird and I started dating. (I was about a month pregnant with my 'surprise' when we started dating.)
Other than that, generally easy interview. Nice enough lady, too.

My wife was approved for her GC in Dallas on Friday, 8/19/11. The ISO said that they couldn't stamp her passport same-day, and she'd need to make an INFOPASS appointment. I tried to get an appointment with Dallas, but it would take at least 10 days. Since my wife was planning to travel to San Francisco the following week, I made an INFOPASS appointment with the San Francisco office to get her I-551 Visa stamp in her passport. (She was continuing on to visit her family in Jakarta on Tuesday evening, 8/23/11...her first time home in 6.5 years.)
Her appointment was for 8:45am. She arrived early, and was available when she was called. There was some question about the differences in addresses between her driver's license (we lived in California until the end of June) and the address on the receipt (Texas).
And then the agent was "rude". She told my wife that her application had not been approved. My wife showed her the receipt from CIS showing that the... read complete review

We had our interview today with a female officer and a female observer. The lady who interviewed us had a poker face, so it was hard to tell what was going through her mind.
These are the questions they asked us:
- What is your spouse's birthday?
- Where did you meet (you have to tell them EXACTLY where you meet and in which month and year)?
- Why did you not get married in your home country?
- Why did your parents or other family members come to the wedding?
- Was it not important to you that your family did not come?
- Show me some proof of your bonafide marriage (rental agreement, shared account, photos, pieces of mail)
- What is your occupation?
They then pushed our file to the side and said we would hear from them. I thought they would approve us right away, but only later today I checked my status online and it said "CARD PRODUCTION"
I was so relieved. The interview was not a very pleasa... read complete review
