Everything went smooth!!
We were interviewed by a nice lady who I think was originaly from Equador (she had flags everywhere). I thought that was neat (Only in Americuhh!! lol). Anyways she went through the forms, asked yes/no questions and then asked us where/when we met. We talked a little bit then she asked us to show documents we brought.
We showed her bills, itinaries, pictures from different vacations, pictures with our diff families, christmas/easter cards addressed to us etc..That was it, we were approved!

Review Topic: Naturalization

I had to reschedule my original oath ceremony because it was conflicting with my work schedule. The process of rescheduling was really smooth. I just follow the instruction on the form and mail back the letter with an explanation of why I couldn't make the original date. They sent me a new date about 2-3 weeks after I mailed in my letter.

I'm writing this because I read a lot of threads where rescheduling the oath ceremony is advised against because people are afraid that the process will be significantly delayed. While I am not advocating for rescheduling your oath ceremony for insignificant reasons, I also think that the USCIS does try to understand that things come up in life that may conflict with their scheduled dates and try their best to accommodate applicants. At least the San Francisco local office did anyways.

We went in cheery and positive but nervous. We had to wait about an hour past our interview. I soft-spoken but very serious older Pilipino gentleman named "Denocio" was our officer.

First off I showed him my interim driver's license to show I had finally changed it from my old address. This set off quite an interrogation which didn't go well about my previous address. It is hard to explain, but long story short I still use that as a business mailing address. I fumbled badly as he did his job trying to trip me up about my story. In retrospect I think he was trying to determine if I was still living there and lying about living with my wife.

I continued to be nervous and trip over my answers or just flat out not remember things. My wife, who is usually the nervous one, was calm as can be. I think it came from her numerous bad experiences being harassed at the border! Anyway, at the end she was convinced I had blown the interview, and that they would investig... read complete review

Some brief background info:
I'm changing from an F1 visa and I'm now 1/2 way through an MBA. The wife and I did a "quickie" wedding at the local city hall. With our family and friends scattered in Boston and Oz we wanted to get the ball rolling and do the "proper" stuff later when the time is right and we can arrange/afford it.

We had a 9:45am appointment on a Wednesday. We found a parking garage about 3 blocks away easily enough.

Got there at 9:20. There was a line outside with about 8 people in front of us. Our appointment letter and drivers licenses were checked twice and bags scanned on entry. Inside the lobby by 9:25 and made our way up to the second floor reception. It was a huge open room with people waiting in various parts of it. The reception line was quite short. The guy looked at our appointment letter and licenses and directed us up to the 3rd floor. Got up there by 9:30.

The third floor is just a large waiting room with... read complete review
