Greetings Fellow VJer's,
What a day!
My Wife's K-1 AOS Interview was scheduled for 08:05 and her Daughter was for 08:55.
The instructions say to arrive no more than 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment which I would agree with as they have interviews all day and that appears to manage the waiting room population.
We met with our interpreter and entered the building about 07:45 and got into the security Q which had about 10 people in front of us. Security was efficient and the team courteous to all you passed through.
It also advises if your spouse does not speak fluent English - please provide a native language interpreter. My Natasha's English is fair and she was able to get through the Consular Interview but it speeds the question and answer process quite well. We did find a great Russian interpreter and we flew through the questions.
We were called at 08:40 and when the IO realized... read complete review

We arrived at the San Bernardino office 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. Got through security fast. My wife (USC) and I were instructed to go to the second floor and leave our appointment paper in the box by the front desk.
Our appointment time was 8:55 and got there 8:30 and waited quite a long while.
After 2 hours, mid-50's IO called my name for the interview. He was very nice and polite. When we got inside his office, he swore us in.
The interview itself was quick and smooth.
I was only asked the following questions:
Name
Address
Birthday
The I-485 questions about organization, criminal records and whatnot which I all answered with NO politely with a smile.
He then proceeded to ask me where I met my wife. IO then asked my wife if this was her first marriage and if she had kids then asked me the same questions.
After that he went to ask for ad... read complete review

The moment we walk in through the security, they are very nice. They directed us where to go and as soon as we got in the big waiting room, we submitted the interview notice to the officer on the front desk. Few minutes later, I heard my name called and we follow the guy to the room. As soon as we got in the room, the guy who interview us asked us questions which are very simple questions about our relationship and ask for paper works that we had already prepared. he was so friendly and nice but very firm. He did not asked us too many questions. And about 45 minutes later, he said our relationship is bonafide and told us that he just need to review our paperwork one more time and soon we will get the result. And he said that we can go home. It was nice atmosphere.
