Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Was interview by IO #8. He didn't smile or nothing, just acted real professional. Didn't get asked any hard questions, was just made to verify some information on the I-485 application.

In and out within 10 mins.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Interview was quick and painless. Interviewer asked only short questions to the (now ex-)wife. He copied credit cards with our names, insurance cards, but didn't care about deed for house with her and my names on it. ADVICE: DO NOT add your spouse's name to the deed to your house until after conditions are removed and you are absolutely sure that the individual is not committing green card fraud. I didn't wait and it complicated the divorce tremendously.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

When we arrived there was a group of people inside the door, trying to figure out where they were supposed to go. None spoke a word of English and the Security lady didn't speak Spanish so we had to wait for everything to get interpreted so they could find out they needed to be in another building.

After that we moved on to the male Security officer, an older and grumbly guy who didn't smile and wasn't friendly at all. He even went to talk to someone else while we were tying to get checked in, instructing my husband to sign a register for Visitors. I went to sign it, thinking since I was a visitor as well, but then the security guy stopped talking to the other person off to the side and barked at me that I wasn't supposed to sign it, only my husband. Sheesh. He got up on the wrong side of the bed that day!

We went in and sat for about 15 mins or so as we'd arrived early. We were finally called by our Officer and he escorted us up to his office on an upper ... read complete review

Review Topic: Naturalization

This was the best experience I have ever had with immigration.

I went there for a Naturalization interview and it ended up taking all of 20 minutes (5 of that were to get to the interviewer's office and back downstairs).

Very professional and the interview turned from a real serious interview to a friendly chat about halfway through.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

If only the entire USCIS operated with the efficiency of the San Antonio office! She had her interview about 4 months after we filed for AOS. The interviewer was a nice young woman who although she was not Latina could speak Spanish and wanted to practice. Lucky for my wife since her English is marginal and I would not be allowed to translate. She asked us a few questions about how we met and after we talked about our courtship and how I learned Spanish in order to communicate with my wife, I thought she would swoon. She said, "How romantic!" and approved the AOS putting the stamp in my wife's passport. My wife brought along her wedding album and persuaded her to look at the photos so we had to take a few minutes to look through the album. She said it was lucky it wasn't her lunch hour as she wouldn't have wanted to look at the album but since it wasn't, why not? All in all, about as positive an experience as one can hope for in dealing with the USCIS.
