I had a brief cordial interview,. Interview with spouse was not required. At the end of the interview I was told I had been approved. Green card expected to arrive one week after interview.

In spite of some preconceptions, our experience at the St. Albans office was a very good experience.
For both our appointments, biometrics and final interview, we were seen well before our scheduled time (we made sure to arrive early for both). In fact, for both appointments, we had completed everything before our scheduled time actually arrived.
All the employees we interacted with were pleasant, professional, and helpful.

We had a really good experience overall when going on for the interview. We were scheduled for 9:45, but we got there a bit early. We went in at about 9:30, went through the security check and were told to check in. The immigration officer was already waiting for us at the window, and he told me that I would go in with him and later he'll bring my husband in too. We went into his office, I was sworn in, and then he checked my identity (passport, drivers license, fingerprints, photo). Before we started, he let me know that he won't be able to give me approval on the spot because the original K1 application was missing from the file and he had put in a request to get it from another office. He then went over my application asking for my name, date of birth and confirming a lot of information I had put in initially. Most of the questions had yes or no answers. He then asked about how my husband and I had met. That was it. No need for any of the documents I prepared, they did not even talk... read complete review

Easy interview. Two personal questions, brief review of the evidence packet, approval on the spot.

The interview for my wife's I-485 was surprisingly pleasant. The person who conducted the interview was very pleasant and the questions were not what I had anticipated from doing research online. In our case, they were almost all things that were answered on the I-485 form. When I commented to him about how quickly and easily everything went, he told me that we had submitted pretty much everything they needed so there wasn't a lot for them to research or follow up on.
