My husband, baby and I went to the Philadelphia field office to adjust status from a K1 visa to a permanent resident. our appointment was at 10am so we arrived at around 9:30. After a search by some friendly and efficient guards we headed to the third floor. There were quite a few people already waiting. I turned in our appointment letter and we sat down. We were joined awhile later by our translator because my husband is not yet proficient in English. We waited until about 11:50 when we were finally called. We saw a couple of couples taken and interviewed separately. Also a few folks with lawyers, maybe 1/5th of all applicants.
Our interviewer was pretty much what I anticipated, not overly friendly, but also not mean.. typical government worker type, if not a bit more educated than other govt workers I've come across. She mentioned that she had a law degree. I don't know if this is standard for this level of officer. She commented on the baby and asked how old she is as... read complete review

Our appointment was set for 11am. My husband and I arrived at the office 15min prior to the appointment thinking we'll have to wait a long time before we'll be called in. I believe we waited no more than 20min before my name was called. The IO we spoke with asked couple of simple questions such as DOB, place of birth, how many times I visited the US to which I responded waaay to many times to remember. I had to also tell him what kind of visa I was here on and what visa I was granted in the past. He asked if we had and children, whether we met each others parents and if my husband visited my country and if we traveled together. I believe we spent only about 10 to 15 min before the IO congratulated us and said we've been approved. He also mentioned that it's obvious we've know each other for a long time and that we've submitted sufficient evidence of our ongoing relationship. We were relieved by the positive outcome but also expected it. Overall, it simply couldn't go better and we're h... read complete review

Interview was at 815...got their just in time....I walked in with my kids as hubby parked the car. After getting a lovely greeting by the security staff at the front door...I was suprised to find a BUITCH working at the reception hole....she took my NOA letters without a smile....seems like she really dont like her job....sorry women...but Ive paid a hell of a lot of money to get to this point...and I wish I didnt have to be here too....(well thats what I would have liked to say)
Then Hubby arrives...goes to bathroom when the call came for us...but they were using the sur name of my ex husbands...(kids are under that name still) Kids got up but I stayed sitting...awaiting the hubby to return from toilet...grumpy officer is staring at me like I had 2 heads so I said....do you need me to come in as well??? Or just the kids as my name hasnt been that for over 3 years...been under my maiden name and now under hubby's name and thats what we should have been called. He look... read complete review

The interview went very well. Arrived with my wife; we had to wait for a little over an hour. Called back by officer. We were swore in and he asked us both questions like: (how we met, how many trips did my wife take to visit me, did we have any children, etc). He talked to us about a few things. Towards the end he congratulated us and complimented us on how well organized we were and how he was excited to see a real couple show real love. He was a great officer and he was very passionate about "real couples" doing well here in America.
