Interview was scheduled for 9:30am. Arrived 30 minutes early. There was plenty of parking on Callowhill Street.
Went through security and went straight upstairs to the waiting room. Receptionist took appointment letter. We waited about 45 minutes before being called in.
The IO was very professional, she swore us in and asked us to verify our identities (birth certificates, passports, DLs) and signatures on the AOS forms. She also took my newly obtained SSN.
She asked us for our address and date we got married. Of course the husband forgot the latter...I gave him a 'loving' look and he said "oh I'm in a lot of trouble, aren't I" at which point the OI turned to me and asked me to give the date. She noticed how proud I was of him that he remembered his own birth date, though. Yes he is that bad.
She asked what we do. We explained that we just moved and are temporarily staying with family. That lots of things are up in the air... read complete review

We had an 8:30 appointment yesterday 07/10/12 at Philadelphia office. We parked and went to the building. There was a security line, but it went fast. We went upstairs and gave our letter. There was about 20 people sitting in the room, but not all of them were couples. Some came with lawyers. We didn't have a lawyer. We were called at about 8:50-8:55 by african american women about 35 years old. She swore us and asked to sit. She asked for my husband's all passports. I gave her mine (USC) and his. She asked for my ID. This is how I figured that she asked just for my husband's passports. I gave her my driver's license and told her that I gave my passport with my husband's passport. She started to ask me questions first (USC). She was looking at the application when asked each question and put the check mark next to each question in red pen. She also asked me how I came to USA (I came as a refugee). She asked how my first husband got his status. I told that we came together as refugee. S... read complete review

It was a 11am appointment. We got there 15 minutes before the specified time and we waited 2 hours (!!!) in a waiting area full of screaming children and a number of families with 4+ children (anything but quiet). Apparently they were running late and our slot (11am) was the last of the shift, so we suffered for all the delays in the morning.
Advice: You cannot bring food or drink, so a good, solid breakfast before the interview would be in order if you can take it.
Note: If for religious (or whatever else) reasons you do not / cannot / will not swear the oath, be aware that there is a neutral formula that states "swear or affirm". We proactively asked for it, but it might well
be the default text.
The officer had us in his office for 10 minutes, barely. He asked ID data for both of us and went over the weird yes/no questions (genocide, weapons, drugs...) marking them with a red pen. Then he asked if we wanted to add something to the... read complete review
