We are lucky the officer who interviewed us for Green Card (from K-1) was very practical and kind. He did not ask those hundreds of questions about security (i.e. are you a terrorist? have you committed a crime?). He just asked us our basic personal information - name, birthday, work. He didn't ask about anything about our marriage nor required us to submit anything that will prove our bona fide relationship. The interview took around 20 minutes and at the end he said that he's going to approve our application! javascript:emoticon('')

The interview was very straightforward. We had been married for almost a year. They didn't really request any additional proof of bona fide relationship after they heard we had a child together. We did have a joint bank account, lots of supporting pics with family, many of which we also sent in the submission. There is section of yes and no questions which they take really seriously. When you get to this part do not answer unless you fully understand the question and don't joke around about any of the answers. If you answer yes to any of these they will likely grill you or maybe even deny you depending on the topic. We answered no to them all, which was the truth for us.
The woman was a little stern in appearance at first but was friendly by the end of the interview.

The interview was so easy and even fun! First of all, we had to go through security, which was quick. We went to Window 1 where they stamped our interview letter, and then to another window, where we handed the stamped letter in. We waited for a short time in the waiting area. It was busy, but not very crowded. As different interviewers came out to call people in, we noticed that they all seemed very warm and welcoming. Our interviewer, Heather, called us right on time. She was friendly and engaging! Much of the time we spent with her was in friendly conversation about our marriage, how we met, and how we fell in love. She said that she loves our story! I had gathered and printed out everything the letter told us to bring, and she hardly wanted to see any of it. She asked Neil the compulsory questions about whether he is a terrorist or subversive, is he involved in espionage...etc. She asked to see some photos and other evidence of a legit marriage, and we gave her our pictures and co... read complete review

AOS through marriage, arrived on K1 in May, married in June, applied in July, Approved in November. i485, i864, i131, i765.
Interview scheduled at 8:30am, we arrived at 8:00am. There was a line, we waited outside in the cold for 20 minutes as they only let one applicant in at a time to go through the metal detector. We were told to take off our shoes. My wife was waiting for me to put my shoes on the belt, but was barked at by one of the 5 security officers there to also take off her shoes immediately. We went through quickly; we didnt have any metal on us and our phones were in the car. Next person comes up to the security check and they are speaking English with an accent; immediately one of the officers begins to mock this individual. I understand these people are here only for security type purposes, but a level of compassion and professionalism would go a long way, especially for the setting they work in.
We went to two windows. First window took a ... read complete review

Very pleasant interview and short waiting time, however they do not accept translations unless they are notarized so we are getting an RFE.
