I went in for my I-30 interview, as I petitioned for my wife to immigrate to the US.
It was very professional, and Officer Drake was very nice and helpful. The interview only lasted a few minutes, and she was printing me my Notice of Approval of Relative Immigrant Visa Petition before I knew it.
I got there before 7 AM, and they had yet to open the doors. Around 7 AM they let us in. I had to take off my belt to get through security. Then I went to room 121 where I dropped my invitation letter in a slot and waited for them to call my name. It was a few minutes after my 7:30 AM appointment time that Officer Drake called me in and led me to her office.
The interview consisted of me standing, raising my right hand and solemnly swearing to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Then I sat down, and Officer Drake asked me questions from the forms I had filled out like our names, dates and places of birth, addresses, soci... read complete review

Here is our story: we got married on June 5th 2012 in Athens, GA. It was a small wedding ceremony and only our family members were present. We took plenty of pictures together as we knew this would come in handy when I go in for my interview. We exchanged vows and wedding rings and began our new journey together.
My wife and I are both college students living in two separate states. She lives in GA and I live in TN (6 hour difference while driving).
I filed my application on June 21 (I did hire an attorney because I did not want to take any risk) and received a letter back on June 27 saying that they received my file for I-765 and I-485 and gave me a case status online tracking number.
I checked this site from the first day all the way until my interview. (I was way too hyped up and just wanted to hear back news ASAP) But I knew I had to play the waiting game just like everyone else.
Finally on July 1st 2012, I got a letter fo... read complete review

The people were not overly nice. They were socialable. The secruity were not mean, but that's all I can say about them.
There is one lady there, she was horrible looking. She looked horrific and the way she spoke was not at all pleasent.
The man that interviewed my husband and I was not overly nice, but he wasn't crude. He was socialable. He has one of those attitude where you wish you would not ever have to meet him again, even though he wasn't horrible to you. He was very interested to hear my husband's viewpoints on the Arab Spring, which my husband did not go into detail about.
We were approved in 10minutes. My husband received his greencard approval letter at the interview and insha'Allaah he will receive the card within 30 days.

Our total time there, from the time we pulled into the parking lot till the time we walked back out to our vehicle, was 1 hour. Our appointment was at 8:30am and we got there at 8:15. After going through security and handing in the appointment letter we had a seat in the interview room and were called back at 9am. Our interviewer swore us in, asked the basic questions, and asked to see what we had showing we'd been living together as a married couple... we showed our wedding pictures, family portraits, and a couple documents. She made a few notes, turned to her computer and tapped away at the keyboard for a few minutes while Hubby and I talked amongst ourselves. After printing off a couple copies of the approval letter, she let us know that the card would be in the mail in the next 60 days and we were out the door and back to our vehicle by 9:15. It was painless and quick and our interviewer was a very nice lady, though not overly friendly, which is fine by me. Overall I'd say the Memp... read complete review
