Interview was very smooth. Interview officer was very friendly and professional. She just verified every question of the form I-485 and asked us how we met. She also asked for documents proving bona fide marriage (lease agreement, mutual health insurance, car insurance, life insurance, bank statements). We got a letter saying "recommended for approval" and 15 minutes later checked the USCIS web page and status changed to "new card is being produced". This process could not have been easier or faster.

When you get off the 3rd floor elevator, you’re greeted by “Social Security Administration†signs and are surrounded by rooms with “hearing in progress†signs. Just go all the way down the hallway.
Photos and fingerprints taken at registration window. IO called the petitioner to window and asked for evidence of cohabitation (we gave her a couple of medical bills for stepdaughter).
Actual Interview was straightforward checking off questions on the application. IO was pleasant throughout process.
I think our interactions in the waiting room may have helped. My wife, her daughters, and I were joking around and acting like a family. They probably have cameras and the waiting room activity is a part of the interview.

The officer to give us the conditional green card (AP and AOS) was not ultra-friendly, but was professional and interested in my work more than the "line-item" questions he had for her. While we talked, he watched to see if she followed along and then asked her to comment on something (I guess to verify that she understands what I do for work in our bona fide relationship).
They still have "communist party affiliation" question on the list. USSR is dead, but they still ask the question. Interesting.
