Our interview was scheduled for 1pm on a Friday afternoon. We parked 3 blocks away from the federal building in LA and arrived at the office at around 12:20pm. There was no line at the security check point. Took the elevator to the 8th floor, showed the interview notice to the guard at the door, and handed the notice off to the person in Window 1.
The waiting room was pretty spacious, and there weren't a lot of people there...perhaps 10 parties at first. We were called in shortly after 1pm. The IO showed us to his office, introduced himself, and swore us in. Then, he started asking us for some documents and making chit chat with us. He was very thorough verifying our personal information. About 30 minutes into the interview, he asked us to wait in the room and left for about 5 minutes. Then, the IO came back, printed out some forms from his PC, and told us we've been granted green card...yay.. We were out of the office by 1:45pm.
My impression of... read complete review

Our appointment was at 1pm - I think we were in the building by 12:30, after finding parking a few blocks away.
Relatively short wait, though neither one of us had watches on us so we had no idea We were driving home by 2:30 though.
Got interviewed by a nice woman who only asked for joint evidence (had apartment lease, credit card statement, cell phone statement, gym memberships... that was about it!) before launching into a few questions. Very painless, and mostly about how we met, who was at our wedding, etc. No grilling for tiny details. She loved that we brought our actual wedding album, put together by our photographer.
Then we launched into a separate conversation about her job and how grueling most of it is, which was interesting..! She was basically done at that point and waiting to approve us on her computer. Got a letter stating my husband's GC was approved, and we were off!
A lot less scary and i... read complete review

Our appoinment was scheduled Monday May 16 at 1:00. We arrived at about 12:00. The security line up outside the building was not long. We were in the building in about a minute. We waited for our lawyer and went to the waiting room at 12:30. There didn't seem to be too many people in the waiting room but our lawyer said that it was a slow day. He saw all the IOs as they called in the couples and families and told us who was a good officer to have, who was nice, who was mean. We waited for a little over two hours. The waiting was the worse part. I was so hungry! Our lawyer was impatient and asked a guy behind the windows who would be our IO and found out that we would be interviewed by a really nice guy! Finally we were called in! My husband and I were so nervous even though we knew everything would be fine. There was some small chat with our lawyer and IO which lightened up the mood and then we got sworn in and sat down. Our lawyer gave the IO our documents: passports, birth certificat... read complete review
