USCIS - CHATSWORTH, CA
Hello Everyone,
We had our interview today in USCIS Chatsworth, CA. My case was from K1 to AOS.
Just want to mention we waited about 3 months for our case to go from Case if ready to be schedule for an interview to Interview schedule.
I’m the USC and my husband the beneficiary. We brought in an Interpreter for my husband. English is still not fluent. If you’re in the SFV area I recommend Jimenez Interpreter (https://www.yelp.com/biz/jimenez-interpreter-los-angeles) English/Spanish Interpreter. I’m sharing this information because I know from experience reading through all these posts it may help someone. Just like the old posts have helped me. We got there 30 min before. Our interview was schedule at 12:15pm. We went through the x-ray machine and checked in. Waited about 40 min to be called in. Our officer was a woman, did not get... read complete review

I'm a UK citizen and my same sex partner is a US citizen. We went to the LA USCIS office in downtown for our interview early Feb. We were prepared with a ton of documents. There weren't that many couples there - it was mid afternoon and I guess there were 5 or 6 other couples apart from us in the very large waiting area. We breezed through the airport style security so make sure you only carry what you need and you may need to remove your shoes.
Our lawyer turned up 15 minutes before we were called in. The IO shouted out my name (mispronounced) and looked at me and my partner really sternly. It made us both feel uncomfortable, and even our lawyer was taken aback.
The interview was really very basic and lasted for maybe 30 minutes but the lady was very stern and made us feel like naughty schoolchildren before the headmistress. My hands were shaking a little as I gave her my docs (rental, insurance, various utility bills, all nicely highlighted) and I had m... read complete review

My interview was in the morning at 07:15 am on January, 18th.
I arrived at around 06:45 outside of the building and had to wait until the building opens at 7am. There was already a line which was not to bad. Around 05 minutes before 7 a security guard asked for our appointments and made everybody with a scheduled interview appointment move into another line. He was very friendly and funny and made the waiting a little easier.
Once I arrived in the 8th level I had to check in at the front desk until my name got called. 30 minutes later it was my turn and I was called in for my interview.
The interview itself was very straight forward. I got asked about my studies here in LA and a few questions about the I-485. The woman was very friendly and professional. During the interview she was straight to the point. After the interview was over she smiled a little and told me that she still needs to check some things about my application and if everyth... read complete review

Our interview was on November 3, 2016 at 12:30 pm. We got there at exactly 11:30 am and there is a long line outside. It took us about 50 minutes to get in, the security is airport style. Once we got in, we headed to the room and gave them our interview notice. The IO called us around 12:45, she is very nice and professional. She double checked our I-130 & I-485 if all the information are correct, ask for some photos, original bills, ask how we met each other and other basic things. The interview lasted about 30 minutes but, in the end we were given a paper saying "case is held for further review". The IO told us the she is new and she needed to check in with her supervisor, she also showed us a stack of files she need to go through. , we After 1 month, 3 weeks & 4 days of the interview. Overall we are pleased of this office and the people the work there. The wait for the result is new wracking but patience is the key. A lot of patience and prayers.
