My wife and I have been very blessed during this entire journey. We haven't had any negative experiences along the way. I think it's saying alot, coming from a high fraud country, etc. K1 interview was a breeze. AOS interview was a breeze.
10 minutes interview. We arrived at 10:10, appointment at 10:30. She was called promptly at 10:30 and we were outside by 10:45. I couldn't believe it.
The IO was a nice younger woman, very courteous. She asked us not to sit just yet and first put us under oath not to lie. Then she explained she would ask questions regarding the application for green card. Which is pretty much what she asked about, my wife's parents names, her birth date, some other personal info and then had her answer those nasty questions again about terrorism or prostitution to which all were NO of course.
After this she had us show her any evidence we brought, we had plenty, but she just took our utility bills and bank... read complete review

Overall it was a much better experience than we had expected.
The worst part was probably the wait before our interview.
We were about 10 minutes early for our 9:00 appointment, however
we weren't called into our interview until about 9:30. It was
kind of frustrating that there were no clocks and you cannot
use a cell phone while you were waiting, so you feel like you
are sitting there all nervous forever with no track of time.
The interview itself was relatively painless. Our officer seemed
to have a very good understanding of our case. He asked general
questions about how we met, how long we dated, what our wedding
was like, and looked like he already knew the answers (which he
probably did because it was all in our file)
Evidence-wise all we really brought were photos, a scrapbook I made
for our first anniversary, a joint bank statement, and cards from
relatives. He a... read complete review

Here is a review of our interview this morning at 10:30am
We arrived with our big binder in hand and were suprised by how nervous everybody looked! Every single couple except one other had an attorney as well which added to our nerves since we did it all ourselves using this site (no RFE's though so we did something right!)
The older man called us in and we took an oath in the room before taking our seats. He asked how we met but didn't really appear to be listening to the answer as he was shuffling paperwork and looking under his desk. We thought this was a little funny....that is until his mobile phone rang and he answered it. After he got off he explained to us that it was his daughter calling and she wanted to know if he'd managed to get them tickets to Disney on Ice??? We both had no idea what to make of that - I kept thinking that he was going to ask the serious questions straight after.
He then proceeded to tell ben that he knew someo... read complete review

Interviewed by a man , 55-60 yrs.
First both stand up, holding up your right hand and swearing in....when he ask us to sit down he right away ask my hubby if he has a job.
Then asking how we met and where we live.
Asked me if involved in any crime, prostitution, spionage or terrorism.
First proof or paper he ask for as addition to what we first sent in the application was the sealed vaccination history letter from a US Surgeon (make sure you do this before interview). Then only Condo lease...that's it ...
We were surprised because the Officer gave us a paper that stated I was approved and told us "Congrats"...we have read that others were not told if they made it or not.
