Interview was on august 7 2014 which was not very difficult. officer just grilled my wife (USC) with dates. then she asked us to submit all previous apartment lease agreement since we started living together. I got my i-485 and i-130 approval emails on october 3 2014. whoever is going AOS interview thru marriage do not have to worry as long as relationship is real.

Our interview was 11/22/2013 and was similar to most other reviews here for questions asked and documents requested. However, our I/O was not personable at all. When we were through she gave us a letter that said a decision has not been reached at this time and they may ask for more information. Our attorney asked when she might make a decision and she said a week ot two. We waited over three months to receive an approval of the I-130 and denial of the I-485 because my husband had left the US without an AP. Stupid mistake, yes I know. The approved I-130 was marked Sent to File rather than forwarded to NVC. I filed an I-824 in April 2014 requesting the I-130 be sent to NVC so we could do Consular processing. I was told by USCIS and NVC that this normally takes three weeks. It has been over four months and NVC doesn't have the file from Houston yet. I read about some people getting their decision and GC in a few weeks. Though it is our fault for no AP, I haven't seen my spouse in 9 month... read complete review

Our appointment was set for 8:15 am, but we got there before 7. We were the first ones in line before they opened. Once in, we went through the security checkpoint, gave our interview letter at the window and filled out a request for info paper. All of the IO's that came to the door to call on couples and families seemed very personable and nice.
After about 40 minutes, a man approached us to say that our IO was running late. We were finally brought in at about 9:15.
The IO seemed formal, but friendly. We were told to take the oath, and to sit down. He asked to see our IDs and went through the bio info. The IO went through our file, and asked us how we first met. My husband (USC) told the story, and rather than giving the short answer, he even made the IO laugh a couple of times, which relieved the stress.
The IO proceeded to ask if we had any further evidence to add to our file, such as bank accounts, a lease or pictures. We procured all three, and he took 4 ... read complete review

Interview was scheduled for 02/11 @ 8.15am. We arrived at DHS at about 7.50am and made our way through security. After filling up the form from the reception, we waited and were called in at about 8.20am. The officer was polite and professional, greeted us and led us to her office. Once inside, she took our oaths and then asked if we had any questions for her before she began looking through our files and asking us her questions. We told her we had none and she proceeded with verifying the answers on my I-485. Once that was done, she moved on to the I-130 and asked my husband the questions there. After all the information were verified, she asked us if we had anything else we'd like to show and/or submit to her. We gave her copies of our bank statements, credit card statements but only the page that had our names listed, our phone bills and she flipped through my checkbook with past bills I've paid. She also took a look at our photo album and made nice comments about our wedding theme ... read complete review

our interview was pretty easy, we had sent a very complete application and all she needed to see was the second copy of the marriage certificate, she looked at pictures and returned them. And when we requested that she stamp my passport she did. My GC arrived a week later. javascript:emoticon('')
