Very friendly staff! We were there about an hour ahead of our time and they took our paperwork. I didn't realize they would ask for additional paperwork at the front desk so I had to go up 3 times with more stuff 😂 The IO lady was polite and very friendly and we basically talked more about deers, seafood and our dogs than our actual application. We went over my visas and I stumbled a little bit bc I had a little hard time understanding her accent. She did question why I didn't study in England instead of the US and I said that the field I was in (autism) my education and work experience was more attractive since all our practices in Sweden stems from the US. She seemed to think that made sense.I had forgotten to answer like 5 of the questions on the i485 yes or no questions but she didn't make an issue of it and filled it out for me and I said our wedding date wrong, that it was October 17 and not 14 but in my head I was thinking of 2017. I attended the Hartford, CT office for my AOS biometrics on April 19th 2019 (Good Friday). I was surprised it was open, but it was!
I arrived 15 minutes early, I handed my ID and appointment letter to reception and was quickly fingerprinted and photographed.
I was the only person in the whole office! Everything ran smoothly, the staff were friendly and I was done in 15 minutes.
Now comes the very, VERY long wait to receive the EAD/AP, let alone the AOS interview.
