I had my AOS interview in Denver, CO (the office itself is in Centennial) on July 14th, 2016 and it was a very positive and smooth process. My husband and I showed up about 30 minutes before our 12:30PM interview and they checked us in and sent us to a waiting room before our appointment was scheduled.
What I brought to the interview:
-copies of all mine and my husband’s government ID's (passports, social security cards, both birth certificates, both drivers licenses, EAD, my husband’s divorce decree)
-proof of marriage (photos, marriage certificate, car insurance, utility bills, receipts from our travelling, checking account statements, credit card statements, saving account statements)
-all my old applications (EAD, Advanced Parole, AOS)
-new medical record (since the one sent to Chicago with all other applications expired after one year)
-interview notice with date and time of appointment

Our IO was running late, he took us 45 mins late, but we patiently waited for our names to be called. He was polite, relaxed and made us feel comfortable. Our interview took about 20 minutes and went really well. We had N email within 3 hours saying my husband's green card was being sent. We are anticipating its arrival with excitement!

We arrived for the interview 30 minutes early, and our name was called 15 min prior to the scheduled interview time (1:15pm). We were 100% prepared and everything went quickly. They needed certified marriage license, birth certificates for each of us (with my Thai wife's English translation), US ID's (EAD/AP and passport for her, DL and passport for me), copy of joint accounts (checking and Visa), utility statements with both names, and health insurance cards. He didn't look at any of our photos. The Denver office also required 2 affidavits of sworn statements from people who have known us from before our marriage to the present that can attest that we are living together as a married couple. This is the only thing we didn't have. The officer said as soon as he receives the affidavits, the green card will be issued and we should receive it a week or two later.
The Filipino officer was very friendly and quickly put my Thai wife at ease. For us it was a very quick and painl... read complete review

Had interview for AOS adjusting from K-1. I looked at the reviews here on VJ and got my hopes up for a nice, friendly chat with an IO. Nope! The IO we got was not all friendly and all smiles, she took her job extremely seriously and asked for loads of evidence.
What was asked from me:
- My Passport, SSN, EAD and Driver's license
- Evidence (I wasn't asked for any specifics, she let me hand it all over): Certified copy of marriage certificate, Joint bank account statement, joint car insurance proof, joint health insurance card copy, joint tax return, photos and a flight itinerary of a trip we took together in January.
She took it all and seemed displeased we only had 1 bank statement copy (so take multiple!), then seemed confused as to why we both had our own personal checking accounts when we had a joint account together. We use the joint for bills, food, gas - generic "life" expenses; while our own bank accounts are used for personal purch... read complete review
