The interview itself was fine. The officer asked for bank statements, insurane statements, bills, employment letters. She looked over our wedding photos and asked only a few perfunctory questions (where did you meet, when did my fiance come to the US, had we ever separated for any reason).
Then we got the bad news: she couldn't approve our file today because it is still pending name clearance. The fingerprint clearance came through, but without name clearance it couldn't be approved and she could give us no sense of when it might be received (she seemed to think it could be six months or more). We were very upset and discouraged, especially since Matthew's EAD will expire in January (we applied for a renewal online that day). Overall it was not a good experience for us.

OK, that made me think OMG, am I one of the case too?
He led us to his office and apologized for long wait. He started to flip through all my files that I originally submitted and said who prepared for the file. I said I did and hubby joked about "It has been my full-time job" . He smiled and said they are well-prepared. And th... read complete review
