Everything went very smoothly. We walked up to the door 15 min prior to our interview and the guard verified that we had an appointment. We passed through security and checked in. The lady who checked us in was very friendly! After about 5-10 minutes, our interviewer called us back. He escorted us to one room that had an iPad set up. After scanning our passports, he went to his office, and we began communicating through the iPad. My husband only speaks Spanish, so he called their hotline to get a translator to assist us. He went through most of the questions on the I-485 application. After that he asked us if we had brought any other supporting docs that we wanted to submit. I got them ready and he returns to the office that we were sitting in and said we were free to go. He said that the office cannot technically say if we’re approved or not on the spot, but that everything looked good!

Got to USCIS at 810am for our 830am appointment. Went through security and then checked in with the reception area. Sat down and got called back for our appointment at about 9am. Was in the room for about 30 minutes. Very very easy process. She went over the application line by line and asked me (the US citizen the names of her parents) and asked Iryna for my Date of Birth, her date of entry into the US, which airport she arrived in the US and our date of marriage. She asked for additional documents and we provided joint bank statements for both checking and savings, authorized user on credit card, joint car insurance, joint tax return for 2018, life insurance beneficiary , 401K beneficiary, joint health and dental insurance, joint insurance on engagement ring, about 80 photos of us together (of which she only wanted to keep about 15 or so because it would make the file too big). She said we had plenty of other evidence. Said everything looks great and that Baltimore policy does... read complete review

We were in and out of the office in under an hour; from our scheduled appointment time. The officers were very professional and reassured us there was nothing to worry about. My partner studied the 100 questions and knew them well; the majority of the time is spent going over the application. One question that has changed slightly pertains to being arrested; they also ask if you have ever received a traffic citation.
