Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

PD 12/21/2016 Atlanta

Our interview was scheduled for today. Interview was at 8:30am and we left home at 7am (usually takes 45mins to drive there so we had 45 extra minutes in case of bad traffic). So happy for the extra time cause we had TERRIBLE traffic driving there and just arrived 1 minute before our interview was scheduled. We rushed into the building at 8:23am and were so lucky that there were no security lines or check in lines.
We checked in at 8:29 and at 8:30 our interviewing officer called us in. She swore us in, asked for our id's and passports.
Next, she asked my wife (petitioner) to confirm her own name, address, birth date, phone number and signature.
She then asked me (beneficiary) to confirm my name, address, birth date, phone number and signature.
She asked us how we met and then left to make copies of our documents. She returned and asked the Yes/No questions and then looked through our photos. Didn't ask anything about t... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

The interview went smoothly, our interview had no more than 30 minutes duration, which was really nice. The lady that was our interviewer was very kind, she was not from the US, so, we think that maybe helps everyone who does interviews with her because she once was in the shoes of her interviewers as an immigrant herself. She was surprised at how much stuff we brought to the interview (papers, documents, photos and a bunch of other stuff, and made a comment that she would not need all of that.
Her questions were:
How did you meet?
How long we know each other?
How long we've been married?
She asked me what my husband did for a living?
She asked my husband what I did for a living?
She didn't make her decision at that time, but, she showed that her intentions were to approve me.What she did one day later (Thank GOD for his mercy and grace). She said that because I was married for 3 years prior to the interview date my Greencard has no ... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Approximately 6 months after my husband received his work permit; we received an schedule interview. We had to drive 4 hrs to the office; therefore, we arrived very early.

I was 37.5 weeks pregnant, (Can you imagine the walking after the ride,Lol). The security officers were very welcoming; they send me around to be pat down. My husband went thru the scanner (it was similar to the airport security).

We check in at the reception area approximately 45 minutes prior to our interview, the ladies direct us to the 3rd floor (informed us the window will not open until 30 minutes after the hour; then we can check in early. We wait approx 15 mins, he check in bc I was busy in and out the restroom.

After waiting for additional 10 minutes, an officer came got us for the interview. She greeted us with a warm southern smile; she had us to raise our right hand to tell the truth.

The Interview (less than 20 minutes)

She aske... read complete review
