Short and sweet and informal, AK style.
When A went for biometrics the previous day, they said, "why didn't you bring your wife - we could have done interview today!" Went in on correct day for interview, got seen 5 min early. They asked a few basic questions - spouse's birthday and place of birth (random small town), what do you love about each other, and made foreign spouse swear to a whole list of things. But no hassling at all. At the end, they said "we'll recommend approval, pending biometrics" and that was that. Took maybe 10-15 minutes.
We front-loaded our combined I-130/I-485 with a huge amount of evidence of a bona-fide marriage, and I think that helped. We never got any RFE. We took hard-copies to the interview, and the USCIS office kept a few examples of joint insurance documents, a few photographs, etc.

Our immigration officer was very nice and sympathetic, we had a quick 15 minute interview on camera. They went over the details of the petition, asked us about 5 questions and for our documentation. She even agreed to stamp his passport, no complaints here - couldn't have asked for more!

She was professional, to the point, and quite sweet in fact. Once we went through the list of mandatory questions she asked my wife, she asked what we had, and it was an avalanche of material for her. So she was delighted and picked from a few things for her file.
We were there half an hour early and were walking out of the building three minutes before the appointment was supposed to begin. They did not have a copy of her marriage certificate, which we definitely sent, so we gave her the one we had in the glove compartment.
Their fingerprinting equipment was down so we had to drive 900 miles round trip to do it the next day in Anchorage where they have a permanent facility. So you can't give them a five.
What I rate them highly on was that she was a compassionate human that seemed genui... read complete review
