Our interview day at the consulate began at 7:15 am. The line was not as long as I had expected and once we made it though security I estimated around 100-120 people were there for an immigrate visa. Once we received our number which took the better part of an hour we waited for around 40 minutes for our number to be called to submit our documents. The lady at the window was very pleasant with a nice smile which made us feel comfortable. After this we waited again but this time we waited for more than an hour for our number to be called for the interview. I walked up to the window with my wife and daughter where the gentleman doing the interview asked me if I was the petitioner. I said yes and he asked me to take a seat and if he needed me he would call me. My wife said she was asked about ten questions, were we met, what month we met, where did we go on our first date, did she know that I had been divorced, my son's name, where does he live, how old is he, does she speak En... read complete review

Our appointment was at 8:30 on the 7th of May. We showed up at 8:05. There was no line up front. We waited for more than 3 hours. The interview took about 4 minutes. We were asked 4 questions: How did your fiance come to the US? How did you two meet? Do you have any children? Can I see your pictures? We brought more the 200 pictures with us and I asked the CO if he want to see all of them. He told us to give him 3 "good ones". He is an American and spoke perfect Vietnamese so he was saying "dua tam nao hay hay" My fiancee was so nervous and she messed up on two of the four questions but I believe the decision had already been made before the interview. Also, I believe they are no longer giving out pink papers. All the approved visas get a piece of white slip to turn in at the front EMS desk. The non-approved cases still get blue slips.
Couple of thoughts:
- During our interview process, there was this lady just jammed her face i... read complete review

My fiance arrived at the consulate for her 9:00am appointment, was checked in, then had to sit in the waiting room for 3 hours. When she was called up she greeted the interviewer and English and was greeted with a warm smile. The interviewer asked if she wanted to be interviewed in English and my fiance agreed.
The entire interview lasted about 10 minutes in length and she was APPROVED!
Overall, a very good experience.

We got approve on March 21st 2014. I have been prepping my fiancee with lots of question this week so that she knows how to answer them properly. I wasn't afraid of our paper work because i did it all and it is really completed.
My fiancee arrive at the consulate about 10:30am and there was no lines. The lady at the front ask for the package #3 and also the DS-160. I think I goof the DS-160 form because her 1st name didn't show up. It came out FNU and they almost didn't let her in. Other people had the same issue.
When she got in, she did her BIO/Finger and then when in to submit all the require documents. The lady that was standing there was very rude to my fiancee. Giving her rude comments on why all of her paper work was inside a neatly place binder but my fiancee just shrugged it off.
There are many people inside that will direct her to the correct place to do certain things in the process which was extremely helpful.
