Our appointment was at 8:30 on the 7th of May. We showed up at 8:05. There was no line up front. We waited for more than 3 hours. The interview took about 4 minutes. We were asked 4 questions: How did your fiance come to the US? How did you two meet? Do you have any children? Can I see your pictures? We brought more the 200 pictures with us and I asked the CO if he want to see all of them. He told us to give him 3 "good ones". He is an American and spoke perfect Vietnamese so he was saying "dua tam nao hay hay" My fiancee was so nervous and she messed up on two of the four questions but I believe the decision had already been made before the interview. Also, I believe they are no longer giving out pink papers. All the approved visas get a piece of white slip to turn in at the front EMS desk. The non-approved cases still get blue slips.

Couple of thoughts:
- During our interview process, there was this lady just jammed her face in front of us and asked the CO a question about her case. He was really nice to stop and tried to find an answer for her. I felt that it was extremely rude on her part and it could have jeopardized our case.

- Dress appropriate people. There was this one lady who showed up for the interview in her extremely high heels, loud makeups, jeans, and a tight, short t-shirt. Ummm...It's not a night club. I think she got a blue slip.

- Get all your paperworks in order or it will just be a waste of time for you and the Consulate. We did not hire a lawyer or consultant. I think they will give you bad advice sometimes in order to sell you unnecessary services. If you have a genuine relationship, then just be yourself and follow the Consular instructions.
