Fiance (now wife) said her interview was very easy. She was asked only 5-7 questions. Interviewer did not even look at all the evidence she brought along. =) She was even a little disappointed that none of the 200+ pictures was not even looked at. But as many here have stated, it's better to have more evidence then not enough.

Personal note:
I believe that if your relationship is genuine and have enough evidence of support as well as the required proof/documentations, you will be approved. Overall, I think our K1 process was pretty smooth.

Accompanied my fiance to the interview this morning. We arrived at about 7am. Everyone working at the embassy was courteous and polite. It was a little unthinkable because of the lack of a/c. We didn't wait for very long, after finger printing, maybe 1.5 hours, and we were approved and out the door by 945am.

ont fall for the scam across from the Consulate to pull you in to sit on the red chairs. We fell for it and had to buy a bottle water each. When you get there, just line up at the Consulate.
WillieT1986 did an excellent job summarizing the process...you can find his timeline under me as we are following each other...you can get the details there..as for us at the interview time..
Our number was called, officer asked me 1) who
do you work for 2) what do you do for them
Then told me to sit down

Questions for my fiancée
1) how did you meet
2) why did you want to meet your fiancé
3) how many times your fiancé visit you
4) did you have an engagement party
5) do you have pictures of your engagement party?
Show me your pictures
6) do you have any children?
My fiancée as she was getting the pictures said yes, she has one with me. The officer seemed a bit taken and reclarified the qu... read complete review

HCMC, Vietnam US Consulate Review

My Fiancee and I arrived around 05 something. The usual people you read about in reviews were there trying to carral you into chairs that sit directly across from the Consulate but you do not have to as they charge you for it and then when they learn that you know of there little scheme they pretty much tell you to go away cause if we stand around then others will follow suit. Basically, it was bad for their business.

It will seem like you cannot wait across the street but you actually can. If you are standing in front of the Consulate and looking at it then you will notice the left half has zero barriers while the right half has a barrier that covers the entire right side and even wraps around as well. I had my Fiancee ask if we were actually allowed on that side and he did not care. Only thing I did not ask was if we were allowed within the barrier (just poles). From the center leading to the right are multiple entrance... read complete review
