What a day! Interview was at 10:00AM Oct 26 2020. I arrived at the Embassy around 09:30AM so I sat around on the wall. I noticed there were 2 x sign posts. One said "Visas", and indicated "this way" and I had to walk along to read the other said said . There were some people congregated around the door at the other sign so I though it best to take a look. Embassy staff were engaged with some of those congregated. As I returned to my seat adjacent to the "Visas" sign a member of Embassy staff asked my name and I explained what I was there for. It was about 09:35. I asked for my DS 260 and passport and 2 x pics which I handed over. The docs were returned to me with a scribble and 10:00AM annotated on the DS260. I was then invited in and went through Security. Airport style. Collected my belongings and made my way up the slope toward the main building. Again, an Embassy staff member was speaking with someone at the door. I waited outside the door of the Visa queue (line) expecting someo... read complete review

The people in the embassy were all very friendly. I was in and out of the embassy in under an hour.

I arrived 25mins early and joined the security line. There was a couple with a laptop that caused some issues (they're not allowed in the embassy) so I was glad I had remembered not to take one with me. When I told the security officer at the door that I was there for a visa interview he took my passport and appointment confirmation email print-out. He checked me off a list and had me lower my mask to verify I matched my passport photo. I also had to show him that my phone was active by opening any random App.
Once inside I went through the security screening. No problems there, very polite team. I had to drink some of my water to show it was safe to consume and then I was passed through to the main compound.
At the reception desk, they checked my appointment letter and passport again. Here I was given a sticker with my "number" on it and told to take the lift to the 2nd floor. Once upstairs I was directed to a waiting area around the corner and t... read complete review

Feb 25th 2013 – Attended the visa interview at US Embassy on Grosvenor Square, London. Visa granted!
Interview time was given as 9:30am. I arrived at 8:30 and was allowed to enter the waiting room after showing my appointment letter, MRV fee receipt, and passport. My number was not called until 10:30. I supplied the woman at the booth with the documents listed in the above link (copies and originals), including an affidavit of support I-134 (and associated bank and employment statements) completed by my fiancée. Fingerprints taken then waited another 30 mins for my number to be called again for the actual “interviewâ€. The man at this booth was a little more serious. Simple questions asked to get a feel for the authenticity of our relationship. Original documents returned to me. Good news of freedom to travel to the US. Told to expect my passport and visa within 7 working days. Before leaving the embassy, I stopped by the courier desk to pay for postage of ... read complete review
