I arrived to the embassy 25min prior my appointment.
The security guys outside was really nice, and chatty - makes you feel more relax and forget about stress. The lady came out to me and checked my confirmation page and passport, and after couple minutes I was invited inside to go through airpot style security check. Went all smooth. From there I went to the reception - I was asked for confirmation page again, got some stickers with info a number and was told to take a lift to first floor.
When I got to first floor, other nice administration people asked me which visa interview II was attending, and was directed to go left and left. I took a sit in the waiting area and was waiting for my number to pop in on the screen. There was only about 4 people in there at the time.
After about 5 minutes I was called to one of the windows. That's where my fingerprints was taken. I was asked for originals/certified copies of all my civil documents - brith certificate, ... read complete review

After arriving at the embassy we left phones with security, and headed upstairs to wait for our turn. There were instructions on how to sort your paperwork so I completed this while waiting. We waiting around a half hour to se the officer, who seemed to be in a bad mood, she proceeded to ask for the paperwork all in different order than was indicated making me flustered, my daughter was with me and was 17 at the time so she was helpful. The officer would not accept the certified copy of my fiancé’s divorce decree because she said the stamp wasn’t embossed, duh.. it’s a certified copy of the original, and also would not accept a faxed copy of my police records check, which I had sent the day before because of a mix up with the records check I didn’t receive it in the mail on time for my interview. We then went to sit down and wait for the actual interview, we waited another 40 mins or so and then got to speak to a very friendly officer who asked a few bas... read complete review

I was In and out of embassy in London within 45
Minutes. I was extremely nervous (for obvious reasons, as have been waiting on this day for 2 years), but it really was a very smooth process like everyone says. The only paperwork I was asked for was my birth certificate, marriage certificate and police certificate. No photocopies needed. They also didn’t require my husbands divorce certificate or tax transcripts. After a ten minute wait after my paperwork review, I was called up for my “interviewâ€. The only questions I was asked were “how did you meet your husband†and “when do you plan on leavingâ€. The staff at the embassy were extremely friendly and from someone that suffers from extreme nerves, I can honestly say this part of the process was the easiest. part.
