I arrived to the embassy 25min prior my appointment.
The security guys outside was really nice, and chatty - makes you feel more relax and forget about stress. The lady came out to me and checked my confirmation page and passport, and after couple minutes I was invited inside to go through airpot style security check. Went all smooth. From there I went to the reception - I was asked for confirmation page again, got some stickers with info a number and was told to take a lift to first floor.
When I got to first floor, other nice administration people asked me which visa interview II was attending, and was directed to go left and left. I took a sit in the waiting area and was waiting for my number to pop in on the screen. There was only about 4 people in there at the time.
After about 5 minutes I was called to one of the windows. That's where my fingerprints was taken. I was asked for originals/certified copies of all my civil documents - brith certificate, marriage certificate, police certificate, and divorce certificate ( wasn't asked for pervious marriage certificate). I was also asked about only ONE passport photo. Whilst checking the paperwork, the lady asked when we were planning on traveling. She asked me if I had medical, and told me till when my visa would be expired. She also asked me if I had any valid visa, which I do - on my old passport, but I brought it along with me so she took it too. She then checked the affidavit of support on the computer - she didn't want the original of it, not tax transcripts/W-2, from me. She gave me an immigration right leaflet and told me to read it in case I've got any question. She okayed all the document and told me to sit down and wait for my numbers to be called for the interview.
I was waiting about 15/20 min to be called for the interview. It's so quiet in there, so you can literally hear everyone stories when they talk. This makes you even more stressed and anxious lol javascript:emoticon(' ')
When my number was called, I went to the window and first thing happen was swearing to say the truth with your right hand up. The nice lady asked me for fingerprints. The main question I was asked:
- So your spouse is in US military? (this was more of the conversation: what he does, what branch, where he is right now)
- Was you told you're having new assignment to state and where?
- Have you got any questions about the immigration leaflet?
THAT IS ALL. The lady told all is okay and that she's approving my visa. She gave me back my civil documents and my old passport (with tourist visa in it) and told me my passport and visa should be back with me within a week or two. The interview itself took literally 2 MINUTES.
I was in and out within 60 minutes. Everyone is super nice there. Good luck to everyone!
