The Embassy was really welcoming and nice, my appointment was at 11 am and I arrived around 10:15 am (they don't give you a waiting number until around 15 minutes until your interview so I waited in the reception area). I was out of there by 11:45 am. They have very clean bathrooms (once you complete and exit the airport-style security area turn left) in case you need to freshen up before your interview.
There were 2 rounds, first with a gentleman who I gave my interview confirmation email and passport + 2 US size passport pictures of me and originals of my birth certificate and police certificate. He then asked for the updated letters of intent with both of our signatures. Then he asks for the MRV fee proof of payment and Affidavit of Support (Form I-134) with supporting evidence (I handed over my fiance's letter of employment from his manager/boss and also his W2 and tax transcripts for the last 3 years). Arrived 30 minutes early. At the initial security checkpoint, they asked for the appointment letter. Went through airport style security. They requested I take a drink out of my water, and then I was free to carry on to the embassy. Security was very friendly.
Went through to the initial desk where they asked for the letter again and ID (might be mistaken, memory and all that...). They attached a sticker to the confirmation letter with a number, and guided me to go up the lifts and turn left and left again. In the waiting area there are several monitors which will at some point flash your number, and somewhere a beep will go off indicating a new number has been added to the list. I rang them to book my appointment. On the day, I arrived about 30 minutes before my appointment time.
Went in, gave them the documents they had requested (they will make copies and give the originals back to you). They will take a photo of you; I didn't need to bring my own. They confirmed this via email. They also gave me a cup/bottle/canister to pee into. That can be completed at any point while you are there, between any of the appointments you will have.
They gave me another questionnaire to fill in whilst there that included info on previous major surgeries, hospitalisations, and any allergies.
After that, I was taken to see the nurse who confirmed that my vaccinations were all fine and up to date. I assume it is at this point that they would give you any more vaccinations you might need.
