So my interview was for 11am today i set off from my desk in Blackfriars London at 10am to get the tube over to Bond St.
As i arrived the queues were already quite big as it was 10:35am one was bigger the other alot smaller and i though i was lucky as i was put in the small line. Infact my first judgement was so far from the truth, they let the larger line in first and no one from the small one!!!!! once the larger line had moved we then got moved over.
So as i go through the detectors i empty my pockets ipod phone etc but i kept a packet of Cherry drop sweets in my pocket ( i know a real kid at heart) as i went to put them back in my jacket i drop them on the floor and because its like a small hut it mad the loudest bag and the security guard ducked!!!!!! then a police man came over to make sure everything was ok!"!!! It was very funny my cherry drops nearly got me killed!!
So off to the waiting room i had number 22 and looked as if i was ... read complete review

Easy nothing tricky in and out of the of the embassy within a couple of hours.
Went to the first desk and handed all the information they wanted. this was after about an hour. then about an hour later was called up to the second desk when an american guy asked me a few questions about my fiancee like what college she was going to and what she was studying. these i answer no problems he then said i was approved.
Sorted out delivery for the passport which can about a week later.

Just thought I wrote about it, as those who have done it helped me a lot when I was preparing....
Our interview was at 10.30am... As we live in Bristol (1 and 1/2 hours away from London) we took the 6am train to London and got there at 7.30am... We took the tube to Bond Street and walked for a bit to ease the nerves.... Then we turned left to the road that leads to the Embassy and sat in a Cafe to calm ourselves down... At 8.40am we decided that the wait had been long enough and decided to head to the Embassy...
Got there, and the little fat beardy guy was there, he asked us why were we there and what time were we supposed to be there, he looked in a big folder with loads of names and found my hubby's, requested both our passports and made fun of our pictures... He also showed them to the couple that were right behind us (it is worth mentioning that they laughed aswell!)... Anyway, he said that we were too early but that he'd let us in anyway... There were... read complete review

Arrived at 9.30am, queued up for 40 mins(which was a nightmare in this heat). The queue moved quite quickly, went throught the security bit which was in a shed like thing, then went around the building and into the embassy. There were hundreds of people there..thought i was going to be there all day.Was given a number for an immigrant visa which is the correct one.Sat down, after approx 20 mins was called to a window where a man took our paperwork, birth certificates etc, then was told to go sit down and wait to be called for the interview.10 mins later we were called for the interview(they were very quick)The lady asked me,
how we met and when
have i been to see him and when
has he been to see me and when
had we met each others families
when were we getting married and where
where did Tony live
that was it, we did come across a sticky moment when asked if we had my sons fathers permission, which we didnt because we havent seen him for years... read complete review
