CONSULAR INTERVIEW

Waited for 30mins outside, but glad it didn't rain. Waited for an hour inside, then went to bank teller style window to give documents and verify some things. About two hours later was asked to the window where I was interviewed by a very officious person. She ended the interview with me swearing that everything I had said was true, and told me as soon as we got certain things in order I would get my visa.

Interview date: 08/Aug/07

Travel to London:
I left home at 7pm on 07/Aug caught the midland mainline service from Sheffield to London St Pancras I got there at around 10pm. I had booked a hotel near the embassy for the night at the Hyde Hotel Paddington (booked by: www.Londonnights.com). The hotel is not very far from the Embassy. The staff were polite and the rooms although small were of a very high standard (better than I have had in some higher ranked hotels). Interview day:
The day stated early at 5:45am. Got ready checked over my paper work, all present and correct, I took my other bags and left them with the reception. The rest of the day when something like this: Headed down for breakfast at 6:50am Breakfast finished at 7:10am. Car arrived at 7:15am. Arrived Embassy 7:30am. The entrance ... read complete review

All that worry for nothing. It was easier than the medical! Answered a few simple questions and was on the pay phone to missus with the good news in no time.

The entire process was very painless and moved along quite smoothly. The only complaint I would make is when we went to our interview. We waiting approx 3.5 hrs total for what was about 5 minutes worth of conversation with an IO.
