ok, so there are so many of these london reviews that we were not going to submit one but i think that our situation was a bit different and we might be able to help someone in the future.
my fiancé’s appointment was at 9:30am and he arrived at 7:05, they said they would let him in at 8:30 so he went to the starbucks and wandered around a park that was close by until then... this part was all normal.
my fiancé was here on a b-2 visitor's visa for 14 months... he got it initially for 6 months and then had it extended. while he was out here he decided he wanted to start going to university so he could stay out here. the school told him he could adjust his status in the US so he waited for an interview and started school in the meantime. when no interview came, they told him he should go back to england to the embassy. while he started his first term here, he requested a 2nd extension of his visa. after the scho... read complete review

My interview it's self was very quick and easy...The worst part of the day was standing around.
I arrived for my appouintment at 9:30am and waited outside in the freezing rain for 3hrs. At least they gave us umbrellas. Then when i finally did get inside there was another 1 1/2 wait before they called my number. I was then asked to check i had all the right documents with me and photographs (if you do nothave everything there is a computer to print some forms off, not sure which ones as i had everything) There is also a photo booth there if you need pictures. I was then asked to pay for my visa. Then told to sit and wait again. After 1 more hour i was called for my second interview, The gentleman just asked me where i met my fiance and when was th last time i saw him and i got approved in less than 5 minutes.
I was very nervous before hand, but trust me there is nothing to be nervous of. it is very quick and easy, as long as the paper work you give them is ... read complete review

Darren arrived for his 9:00 AM visa interview at 8:20 AM. After a little miscommunication by the workers at the outside queue, ten minutes later he was in the building; he showed them his passport and received a number in the 5000's. He was called about 20 minutes later to the payment window to pay for his visa; after that, they sent him to another window where they checked his passport again, took his fingerprints, and checked his paperwork (police certificate). About 20 minutes after that, he was called up for his interview. They checked the fingerprints, administered the oath, had him sign the paperwork forms (DS-230), and they asked him two questions (1. Where did you meet? and 2. Why are you moving to the United States?)
Since he didn't have the correct police certificate (grrrrr...wish the webmaster would update the site), he didn't have to leave his passport. If you have the correct one, you would leave your passport to be sent with your visa and then pay for... read complete review

Easy. After a few hours of waiting, the actual "interview" took five minutes. Seems to be a waste of time really.

Amy went to London to have her interview. She was interviewed by two different officers.
She showed them information such as my birth certificate, her police record, etc. She was asked questions like why she was moving to the US instead of me (the USC) moving to her, how long we'd known each other, how many times we've met, etc.
They only looked over my I-134, and did not keep my co-sponsor's information. They did not look at tax records, evidence of the ongoing relationship, photographs, or anything really.
She was told she was approved "barring anything coming back on the fingerprint scan" (IE: she comes back as a criminal, but we know she's not) and that she'll get her Visa in 3-5 business days, along with her passport back. This was on Thursday, April 10, 2008. She should have those items in a couple of days we imagine.
Even though I wasn't there, I think I'd rate this experience a 5. She had an interview at 9 am, and by 1... read complete review
