Interview went well. Only minutes for interview and the wait time was a few hours but Popo was called to the counter several times for different things so the time went quick. The lady who did the interview was very nice but also very thorough. She asked many questions and even some questions that you had to pay very close attention to concerning dates. Just make sure you are well prepared with proof of your relationship and all of your other documents. Good Luck to all who are waiting for their interviews.

As I walked from Dr Phelan's Office alone, I couldn't help but think of all the bad thing's that could happen at the interview, such as an ommited piece of important paper or missing passport or things that could hold me up and keep me away from Sandy. The walk was only 10 minutes from Great Cumberland Place to the embassy. The morning sun was creeping up above the rooftops making it feel like a 'Good Day' to be alive.
I arrived at the heavily guarded security fence that was now in place around the embassy after the September 11th problem and was met by a security officer who asked to see my interview letter and passport and asked me the purpose of my visit. He told me where the entrance was and off I went. Upon entering the building my bag was put through the x-ray machine to check for weapons and I walked through a machine to check for weapons on myself. Had to sign in and was told to go up the stairs and turn left for the visa department.
The main room at the embassy w... read complete review

Getting to the embassy was a pain for me as I had to travel 300 miles and my appointment was at 0900 so that meant an overnight coach. The hotels are WAY too expensive for my budget in London.
I found the embassy easily as I had passed it several weeks earlier on my way to get my medical.
I began queuing at 0830 to enter the embassy. The safety screening was ridiculous. They wouldn't allow ANY electronic devices into the embassy including car keys with inbuilt FOBs in them! You could literally only bring your documents in plus whatever your normally had in your pockets (wallet, change, etc). I had to check my back at a nearby place for £8.
Once I got through the security, I entered the building and received a number like you do at a DELI counter waiting to take your order. It took 2 hours and 15 mins to get my number called! The first time it was called, I spent 5 mins at a window with a clerk on the other side who just made sure my ... read complete review

BEST ADVICE GET THERE EARLY!
I cannot stress that point enough, forget what the welcome letter says about not arriving until half hour before your interview.
I was there 7.15am and got allocated ticket number 5001
But like all the other reviews, its a case of going through security, making sure you dont take any battery powered items, cellphones, ipods etc.. (Like the previous UK reviewer i got caught out with the evidence of relationship thing in the form of a musical card! Gutted i had to dash it but my fiance would have done the same - in fact she'd be like go for it - do what you need to do to bring my guy home dammit! )
So yeah, wait your turn to be called for the document presentation, present all your documents making sure you supply a copy as well, pay the fee and wait for the actual interview.
I have to admit that i was nervous as hell, everytime they called out the numbers my glands sent a rush of... read complete review
