Vik got to the Embassy at 8am for his 8:30am interview. The fist officers computer was not working, so it took over an hour to get Vik's fingerprints done. After that the interview itself was short and sweet. As he was waiting for the machines to work for the fingerprinting, the officer told him to go deposit his passport for processing and pay the courier fees. At the end of the interview Vik asked the officer if he was approved, and he was told that he was but that there were a couple of computer checks that the officer had to do. What happens now? We will wait and see...

Aside from the initial getting started with the consulate as well as the 3 month period where they had our case and didn't tell anyone. The interview was actually the easiest part of the whole process.
My advice to anyone filing in Manama, Bahrain is to stay on top of your paperwork because you will ultimately be responsible for it until you file and await your interview.

We had several problems with the woman who was doing the interview. She tried several times to deny my husband his approval. We had to ask for a supervisor to correct some of her errors that she was stating. Was not a pleasant experience...but in the end we left there not knowing what the status was and had to wait to see how it would play out.
Luckily, everything went ok (after several phone calls)

Ok so I had an appointment at 8.30, i did want to arrive early but wanted to have breakfast at the hotel which was at 7.30 (good idea to fill yourself up as you will be waiting a while!) so i ended up getting to the embassy at 8.15. There was around 10/15 people outside so i was through security and sitting in the waiting area at 8.25am.
There was around 200 people waiting in the waiting room but there were still many seats free. I got number I862 - was expecting 5000+ as going for IR1 but i guess not. Anyway they were very very slow at calling the I numbers, at some points there were no I people at any of the windows (as on the screen it shows which number is as which window.)
At 10am I was called to window, British guy checked through docs, asked couple of questions, ticked a checklist, asked when i would be travelling etc. He already has 2 passport photos of me so waste of 9.99 for the 2 new ones i had got done for interview!!!
Anyway got told to fill in courier... read complete review

They were very quick and didn't require all the forms listed for people processing in the US. We did DCF as we both reside in the UK. We are at 'packet 3' stage and are trying to expedite the process.
