Denied my tourist visa application, she didn’t even look at any of my documents supporting my application. She said that I don’t qualify for tourist visa because I don’t have enough ties to UK despite the fact that I have been living in UK for 18 years, have a status leading to UK citizenship in the next 4 years, having business and car on finance in UK . She just wrongly believed that I will overstay my Christmas 3-day trip to New York and will become illegal immigrant, jobless and homeless in the most expensive city in the world ?????. No even chance to appeal and speak to someone who can review this decision. I have visited over 10 European countries as a tourist in the past two years and had 3 Schengen visas and never overstayed them. If Biden in his mental capacity was making this decision I would have understood it, but that 30yo woman who said that nonsense made me believe that they just make a profit by charging non-refundable fees and rejecting more than 1m applications ... read complete review

So I had my interview on 3rd September at my appointment was set for 11am. I travelled down via train to Euston then Ubering to the Embassy. I arrived at the embassy at 10:35 believing I had a lot of spare time. The queue to get into the first building which is the security building was extremely long, they make you have your passport and DS-160 form ready for them to check. I was worried I wouldn't make my appointment time, I went to the desk at around 10:55 to clarify my appointment was 11am and she said it's fine it's all sorted by appointment time inside anyway and I wouldn't be classed as late as I was already there in line. Once you get to the front of the queue they look at your passport and DS-160 and if you are applying for a K1 visa you will get told to go to the front of the other long line waiting to go through security, which seems rude but you just have to do it.
Once you are at the door you will not be able to take any large electronics in like laptops or... read complete review

Took the train down to Vauxhall station, and took a 15 minute walk, had to get passport photos as mine were UK sized whoops :/ ended up stopping in the coffee shop just before the embassy to get the photos cut they were super nice and let me borrow their scissors.
I got to the embassy 45 minutes early and decided to que up as it was busy once I got to the little booth they have they instructed me to skip the line which felt honestly so messed up but I did. Security was easy told me to open my phone on the clock or calendar app then told me to put my bag through the scanner and for me to take a sip of my drink.
I get up to reception and they ask for the ds160 and my passport they give me a little sticker and tell me to go up to the lift take a left and another left to find the number that was stapled on my ds160.
I sit and wait to be called took a good 20 minutes he was very lovely and I think he appreciated me sorting my files into neat pile... read complete review

This is all secondhand information from my fiance!
He had his interview this week at the consulate in London. His was an early morning appointment so he did arrive the night before and stayed at the Vauxhill Travel Lodge. He did get the late checkout so that he would have a place to keep his things during the interview, and in case things went over. He would have been back in plenty of time for normal checkout, but he felt better not having to rush.
He had all of his information organized in an easy-to-navigate folio, and we used everyone's reviews to determine the order. This is how we laid out his binder:
- Interview appointment confirmation screen (had courier info and visa paid receipt)
- DS160 Confirmation page
- Current passport
- Birth Certificate - long form
- Police Certificate (UK ACRO)
- Divorce decrees for both (US divorce decree was certified and file stamped)
- 2 color US passport photo of ... read complete review
