Much the same experience as other reviews on VisaJourney. MY CR-1 interview was on 12 January 2023.
Arrival and Entry
My appointment was at 9am - I got to the embassy at 8:00am and there was already a line. I went to get a coffee at District just across the road (they also have storage facilities for anything not allowed into the embassy itself). I then got in the line and had to show my DS-260 and passport. It was 8:20am, so they checked me in but told me to wait until 8:30 before going through security. Security was straightforward. You have to unlock your phone and open an app. Then everything metal goes into trays and you walk through a mag arch. You then walk up to the embassy building itself and there's a consular reception where you have to show your DS-260 and passport again. They stick a ticket number on your DS-260 and then I was told to take the lift to the first floor and then left and left again to the Immigrant Visa section. When you come out of the ... read complete review

I attended my spouse visa interview at the London embassy on the 10th of January 2023.
As posted by others here, there can be a long queue outside the embassy for visa appointments (in my case it was really windy and rainy!) - however if you mention to the staff at the front of the queue that you are attending for an immigration / green card appointment then they will allow you to skip the line.
Once inside, I went through security, and was advised to again skip the queue and speak to reception. They pointed me to the relevant area for my immigrant visa interview, and when I arrived my number was already called by one of the desks.
I went to the first window, handed over my documents (passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate, police certificate) and they were checked, plus one of my photographs was attached to the application. It's worth mentioning that I printed copies of all my documents and also took relationship evidence, but th... read complete review

We went down to London for the interview and got there around an hour early. They were able to check my husband in while I went to a coffee shop around the corner. Once we got in it took about 30 minutes. They asked him 2-3 questions to verify things and then he was approved!

After being DQ'd end of September, I had my interview on November 16, 2022
I arrived about 30 min early and waited in line - turns out this was a mistake as the line was very long and moved very slowly. 5 minutes before I was going to be late, I was eventually invited to jump the line and go straight to the desk as I was here for an immigrant visa. This is poorly indicated and could be improved as I'm sure a lot of people just stay in line and end up being late, which must cause a lot of unnecessary stress before the interview.
Directions to the relevant desk were clear and I was quickly called up to present my documents. The officer was pleasant, however I was surprised to find out that the original police records (UK and France) I brought along were in fact, copies. That was my mistake, driven mainly by the fact that the French certificate is no longer printed on secured paper so any copy looks like the original. Other documents were fine.

The whole process ended up taking around 2.5-3 hours, of which about 6 minutes was the actual interview. Staff managing the queues were friendly and helpful, and kept us moving as best they could. Unfortunately, the upstairs windows seemed to be having some trouble and so I and others were stuck downstairs in the lobby for a long while awaiting the "okay" to send more people up.
Interview process itself was painless, first window checked my documents and took fingerprints. No fuss. Second window was the questions and again didn't take any more time than was necessary, officer was very friendly and was more than happy to clear up questions before sending me on my way with the immigration pack.
