Hnnnnmmm! It was quite an adventurous long and fearful journey.
I arrived the consulate quite early for my interview before 7am as my interview was scheduled for 8:30am.
Long line as usual people waiting to be signed in so i joined the line. one of the officials came by asking people to put their docs together properly so i asked if mine was ok. Seeing my doc, she asked me to come forwards then signed on it and told me to bypass the queue straight to the entrance, being that my appointment was a priority whom they were already waiting for inside.
I got in, was checked and directed to the interview area which was different from others. Quite few persons around there, then i was called by the first guy who took my biometrics and asked for my docs which i gave. Some of my docs were photocopy e.g. my divorce letters both mine and my fiancé, police certificates from everywhere you have lived in the last 5years, my birth certificate, affidavit of support for me and m... read complete review

Checked into the travelodge vauxhall the day before and I checked out the place at night to see the best possible route. It's a 10ish minute walk and I recommend doing this and finding the best possible routes as google maps can take longer.
I had my appointment at 10.30 am and I left the travelodge at 9.30 am. Good thing is that you can store your bag there.
I did not want to take a chance and packed for taking the bag inside security. But it was not needed.
I reached at approximately 9.45 am and I saw a huge crowd of people waiting outside the embassy. It's important that you join a smaller queue which is for check in services. Here they check you ds260 and "check you in". When i reached the front of this smaller queue it was already 10 am. (You can enter the security only half and hour before your appoitment time)
The guy then told me to join the big queue, to which I was surprised and asked him if I really needed to as I had an... read complete review

Stayed at Travelodge Vauxhall and scoped out the embassy the day before my appointment. The embassy is a very short walk from this hotel, about ten minutes if that, and is easy to get to. There's also plenty of restaurants (Vauxhall Market Place) and little grocery shops such as Sainsbury's and Waitrose dotted right outside of the hotel, along with a train stop and bus depot, so I would highly recommend staying here. Just keep your expectations modest with the hotel and it will be a comfortable stay as it is by no means 5 stars, but does the job. There was a very long line outside the embassy on my investigation the day before which made me decide to arrive extra early on the day of my appointment.
I left an hour and a half early to wait in line on the day and it took me 40 minutes to get to the front. There were only two people who stood at a small podium to take people's documents. They asked for my appointment confirmation letter and passport, then after checking me o... read complete review

I had my K1 Visa appointment at the US Embassy in London on the 3rd September at 9:30am.
I arrived to the embassy at 8:30am and the cue for the visa was already very long. After half hour an embassy employee made his was down the cue checking passports and DS-160 confirmations. As I was there for the K-1 Visa interview he sent me straight to the front of the cue to be checked in.
After being checked in at the desk I was sent to the front of the security line where I waited for another 20 minutes.
You cannot take any personal laptops through security so try not to bring one or make sure you go and store it at the lockers in the cafe across the road before you cue. I paid £6 to store my laptop as I had to go straight to work after.
After going through security you walk through the courtyard and into the main entrance of the embassy. Again there was a huge snake like cue to get to the front desk. I got to the front of the cue just after 10am ... read complete review
