London, United Kingdom | Review on January 23, 2025: | apnzz

Interview experience:
My medical was Thurs 16th Jan, my Interview was Thurs 23rd Jan.
I went up to London (from Kent) the night before (Wednesday 22) at around 1. The travelodge Vauxhall is literally right next to the Vauxhall station.
There's a Starbucks next to it which was helpful!
My appointment was at 9.30am on Thurs 23rd Jan.
I left the hotel at 8.15 because I walk slow and didn't want to be hot&bothered.
The walk is so easy to navigate, I used the Google maps walking function. Nice walk along the river if you want to cross over, I didn't though.
I arrived at the embassy after my chill walk, about 8.30 ish. I sat outside and waited because they don't let you in until 30 min before the app time.
I followed the signs to consular services (left side of embassy iirc) and there was a HUGE queue. SKIP IT, you're special. K1 can go to the front and you get allowed entry immediately.
Airport style security, I didn't take a bag but you can take smaller bags/backpacks NO electronics that are BIG. E g laptop. I had to take a sip of my water then I was allowed in.
Went through the first door, walked up the little hill-like path and into the actual embassy. Here was a line and you just queue. Got to the front and handed my passport over and DS160 conf page. She stuck a sticker on my passport and told me to go to LEVEL 1, turn left, then left again.
Bear in mind after exiting the elevators, left has a ton of people queueing - DONT QUEUE, IGNORE them. So after exiting go left, then left again. There's a seating area, sit between windows 19 and 24 iirc. Your number will get called.
When you get called you'll see the first person, they want your docs. He requested and I handed over:
- Passport
- Courier info
- My birth certificate
- ACRO
- Petitioner letter of intent (our noa2 expired Dec 22 but they only asked for petitioner LoI)
- i-134 and ANY financial evidence (I handed over 2023 tax transcript, 2 paystubs; 1 month worth, letter from employer)
- passport pic
He took my finger prints, copied my docs, handed me back a leaflet and a sticker. The sticker has the same number as before, you go back and wait to get called again.
Read the leaflet essentially about IMBRA and domestic violence etc, really recommend reading it don't just shrug it off. It's important.
Called the second time, interview.
Questions I was asked
- when did you meet?
- where did you meet?
- how many visits?
- when was the last visit?
- where does he work?
- where does he live?
- what do you do for work?
- have you or your partner ever been married before?
- have you ever lived in any other country?
Congratulations it is my intention to approve your visa application today, you will get passport back in 7-10 days.
