Hello Everyone!!
I have been following this site and the Abu Dhabi forum. Thought I'll finally contribute my share! I am an Indian Citizen living in Abu Dhabi, and my wife is American. We got married last year and started our process a year ago. You can check my timeline!! I had my interview for the CR-1 Visa on 9th September'2012. Here was how it went -
Interview was at 8.00 AM as everyone else's who was there. We reached around 7.40 and there were already a nice bunch of people waiting outside. The line for immigrant visas were longer. We were the only Non-Iranians in the immigrant visa line!!! I kid you not!!
Finished all the security checks and got in, got token number 7. The first lady that collected our documents told us that we might need a Joint Sponsor because my wife was working here. So I told her, that my wife has already got a job back in the US and has her UAE visa cancelled. So she said, the interviewing officer might ask... ... read complete review

Interview scheduled: July 17, 2012 at 8am
Arrived in USEM AD: 6:55am
Got inside the Embassy: I think past 8am
The security guard gave me priority #010. My number flashed in counter 10, honestly the lady in that counter was not so nice. She asked me to give her the FORMS and I asked "is it only the FORMS ma'am or also the supporting documents" and she said "EVERYTHING". So I gave her the forms and all other documents including chat logs, wedding dress receipt, ring receipt etc. and she's like "what are these?..." while she was reviewing the form I asked her if she needs our photos and she just raised her eyebrow! Then she gave me back most of my documents, only the ff were taken:
-ALL 4 DS FORMS
-BIRTH CERTIFICATE, CENOMAR, NBI CLEARANCE, POLICE CLEARANCE (ALL ORIGINALS)
-FORM I-134 AND FORM 1040 2011
-PAYMENT RECEIPT FROM NBAD
-MEDICAL RESULT (ONLY THE SMALL ENVELOPE, NO XRAY FILM)
FF QUESTIONS ASKED... read complete review

Hello,
Miss K had her K-1 interview scheduled for May 29th, 2012 at 8:00 AM. Since Abu Dhabi Embassy permits USC's to enter along with the petitioner I decided on flying down for the interview (this is not a requirement but I personally feel that it helps reinforce Bona Fied relationship).
One day prior on the May 28th we headed to Abu Dhabi from Dubai & checked into a hotel close to the embassy, that very same day we decided to take a cab & go see the Embassy so that next day morning there weren't any confusion - I would recommend this for anyone who is not very familiar with this area.
We reached there at 6:40 AM & though that we would be first in line but to our surprise there were already several people seated on the benches. Ok so there are 2 rows of benches - one of the left which is for Non-Immigrant Visa's (which is where K-1 petitioners need to be seated) & then one on the right which is for Immigrant Visas. As soon as we sat on th... read complete review
