Well the final thing in this process was ended happily and i was granted with the visa So i went as early as 7am in the morning i was the first one to reach there and was told to be in non-immigrant queue. other poeple also started showing up by then and then they started let us in at 7:45 immigrant visa applicants first and non-immigrants to follow. Went inside building and after security check (dont take bags inside they dont allow, mobiles can be kept safe with the security and can be collected later after the process is done). after security we were directed to another building where the whole process was to take place. My token number was 004. they started calling by token numbers. My turn came in counter #10. It was a lady (not white but white ) she bascially was naming documents and i was giving them as per her request. NOTE that she did not take document showing proof of on-going relationship. She took copies of birth certificate and return... read complete review

I would like to share my detailed up to date experience with US Embassy Abu Dhabi for K-1 Visa. I noticed that no one is posting new reviews although so many people got their visas already and they are now in US.
- The time in appointment letter was 8:00 AM but you should be there about 7:30 AM.
- Park your car in the visitors parking area (Ask the security and they will guide you)
- Do not carry with you any bag even briefcase and mobiles too. Leave them in your car. Otherwise they won’t let you inside. You can put your papers (if they are so much) in plastic nylon bag. My mobile was about to melt in 48C, first time I see a message on android mobile saying (wait until your device cool down....geeeez)
- You will stand in the queue for security check. Make sure to tell the security guy which visa you are. There is different queue for Non-immigrant visa and another one for immigrant visa.
- Once you finished the security you will be allowed to... read complete review

Well this is my point of a view as an American going with my wife to get here IR-1 visa. I joined my wife as we have a baby and she was breast feeding, so no way around that. The security guard told me I could not enter, but I argued until he let me talk to someone else. He was a bit miffed by the stroller and what not, but ignored his stare down. I actually told the people inside that the guy was being a jerk....anyway, we go through security and picked up a number. This embassy is busy when it comes to Immigrant Visas. The Abu Dhabi processes most of the visa for people from Iran. We waited about an hour until my wife went up. They checked all of her documents and then they took her finger prints. The called her into an interview and I joined her. The dude back there asked me to leave and said he would call me if needed. 5 minutes later she was done. My wife said he asked 3 times when we were married, I am not sure why, we have been married for over 4 years, but she d... read complete review
